| If you don't know Emmylou Harris at all, buy anything she's ever done. The worst that you'll get is really good. This album is lovely, if low-key and sad. There is a strain of American music - the only authentic strain aside from Afro-American - embodied in country, folk and some rock based on the former two that is heart-piercing, but absolutely lovely. | Now, I LOVE Randy Newman, but it has happened before, some of his older albums were simply generic blues... sounds all the same, and none of it very interesting.
But, going back twenty years or so, with the "Born Again" Album, "Trouble in Paradise", "Little Criminals", and especially "Land of Dreams" we were given really very good MUSIC. | I purchased this CD for the song with Corinne Bailey Rae, but I got so much more. Al Green had songs with Anthony Hamilton and John Legend as well. I don't think I would call this classic Al Green,(though some of the beats reminded me of some of his former songs),but I believe Mr. Green has put his signature on today's music. | Moment of Forever is the most solid album by Willie Nelson in many many years. This is on par with some of Johnny Cash's late work with Rick Rubin and provides more evidence that some artists just get better with age. Nelson's voice is as good as ever and has a richness and depth that some of his more recent works haven't had. His pairing with new-country idol, Kenny Chesney seems to have breathed new life into Willie.

| I have everything she has done and I love every bit of it. I had earlier heard a few of these songs from this album from a live recording done by "All Music Considered" produced by NPR at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. The songs were more simple, less orchestration, better guitar, better vocals and you could hear her unusual but excellent voice without the over-dubbing. This album took some pretty fantastic songs and ruined them in a sea of noise.
