The story and artwork might seem a little dated at first, but then this IS a prequel and I have no idea whether the effect was intentional but it panned out phenomenally! Mazzucchelli's artwork adds a new dimension to Miller's already amazing skill as a storyteller who is especially adept at weaving his magic with the Dark Knight. | I thought it was pretty good. I guess its hard for me to get into the whole batman vs the mafia(godfather) story in both novels, but it was written so well I was addicted and flew through them.
The only complaint I could have would be that the "freaks" parts fell short. I know that we all know about their back stories and if they went deeper into the freaks it would be like retelling what we all know already, but isn't that what we all love? | This is a great book indeed.It really shows a side to comics that alot of people dont see everyday in their local stores and tv shows.Only thing I found dissapointing was the fact that the book was not long enough.Im the kind of person where when I start to get lost into the story,I cant get enough and need more.Im sure alot of people would agree with me when I say that.Overall a definite must have. |

| This was an amazingly detailed graphic novel. It was rich in character development as well as story line. I strongly suggest that those with a craving for everything Batman buy this. |

| Watchmen captures the fears of a changing world at the end of the cold war in a unique and imaginative way that few other books can. The Dr. Manhattan character embodies the unholy power of nuclear weapons in a frighteningly cold persona. This is really a stand alone work of comic fiction, any Sci-Fi or comic fan should own this one. Can't wait for the movie, hopefully it does it justice! |

| Just like Loeb/Sale's "Batman: Long Halloween" and "Batman: Dark Victory", "Batman: Haunted Knight" is another holiday themed graphic novel. It is a trio of short stories which are nothing short of amazing. In the first story, Scarecrow is prowling about Gotham on Halloween night. | I actually purched this while in Prague, Czech Republic. No I can't read Czech, but I like to pic up comics in other languages. Some like postcards, I like comics. Well after just going through the artwork, I was determined to get the English version and read what was going on. The storyline is excellent, the art is well done and it includes a great cast of characters. If you're a Batman fan, the HUSH series is a MUST! |

| Let me preface this by saying that I am a relative newcomer to DC comics. The story here is excellent in my opinion, and it made me want to buy more titles involving JLA and the characters included here. Is the art subpar, especially in the end? Yes. It looks like Frank got tired of drawing it halfway through. But the story itself is worth buying this book. |
