| This book does a good job with what seems to be the recurring Fancy Nancy theme of making the best of a not-so-great situation, and keeps with the "fancy words" concept from the original book.
I do like the notion of introducing kids to more difficult words, but I do have a say it makes it a little odd to have those words show up in an "I Can Read" book. As a Level 1, it's really meant for a parent to read with them anyway, but my 6-year old is probably reading Level 3 or 4 of this ... Read More: |

| This book is darling and fun to read with a kindergartener/first grader. If you like the other "Fancy Nancy" books, then you'll be pleased with this one. You can't beat the price. |

| I had never heard of the Fancy Nancy series until my daughter was given this as a gift. I love it, and both my daughters love it (ages 5 and 2). There are only a few sentences on each page but they are filled with [...] words, like "exquisite," "thrilled," "scowl," "ecstatic" and many others. Plus it gives a little French lesson ("Oui" and "Bonjour").
I highly recommend this book! |

| I think what makes us love Fancy Nancy, is not her fanciness (although to my daughter that's definitely a plus), it's how much she loves and cares about her family and those around her. This book illustrates how much the family loves Nancy back and it's really wonderful. My daughter loves the whole series and I could read it over and over again. |

| I am convinced that children (age 6 and 2 - my great nieces) who are read to and children who read go further in life than those who don't. Part of this goes back to their parents. If you think it's too hard for your child

| I was a bit disappointed, as well as surprised since the first story was very lighthearted. I was expecting something a little different; something similar to the first story. I thought the story would focus on Purplicious liking Purple and turning Purple as in the first book when she turned pink. However, that was not the case.
