Ditto to all the good reviews. But I would like to counter the statement that game saves are slow. If you take the time to copy the XBox 360 Game to your XBox 360 hard drive, then startup, save, and load times are incredible!

Copying the game to the drive takes time, but it makes sense for any game that you plan to play for any length of time, especially RPG's. The only caveat is that you must still have the game disk in your XBox to play the game.

The game would be fantastic, if only Bethesda had waited to release the game until it was ready.

The graphics are great, gameplay is amazing, and it's the most fun ps3 game I own, at least up until playing one of the main quest missions and the game freezing, locking me in a basement and cannot get out.

This was not the first glitch I encountered, yet it's the first I can't work around. I couldn't take the test at the start of the game, a couple freezes but I always found a way around. ... Read More:

The luster of this game is still fresh on me as I recently finished, but I'm not sure I've ever enjoyed a gaming experience as much as this one. The depth, scenery, intriguing story, leveling options, weapons/armor, among many other things, make this one of the greatest games ever made.

I'm not just an RPG'er either. I enjoy all types of games across different platforms, but Bethesda's Elder Scrolls: Oblivion might be the best I've seen. I give the highest of recommendations to this one.

I'll admit that I did not play the first two Fallout games and that prior to playing Fallout 3 ("F3") the only impression I had was the cute "Vault Boy" and the nicely done television commercial advertising the game. A friend of mine convinced me that the game was worth trying, but I later decided to opt for this amazing special edition set when I realized one irrifutable fact; you get a super cool bobble head inside. It's like a Chuck Norris mountain of awesomeness toy inside a tin box of cereal only no reference to "proof of ... Read More:

This is one of the worst games I have played in many years. I can't decide if my 1-word review of this game should be "horrible" or "abysmal".

Graphics are so lame I'd swear they were developed by some high school kid in computer class. Animation is choppy even at its best moments and laughably jerky at other times. You will laugh your head off when you see how the pins fall over - completely hokie and unrealistic. Whatever physics engine this game is using is either severely flawed or implemented incorrectly by the game's ... Read More:

I'm sure it's a nice game and I've been waiting for it for long time...

... but unfortunately never gonna buy, thanks to the evil, illegal Sony rootkit it would install on my machine without ever telling me about it.

Bethesda's handling of this issue speaks volumes about sheer incompetency and stupidity at every corporate level: first they went out to give an inte4rview claming there's no DRM in it.
Next thing we got was the game with one of the WORST DRM INFECTION, SecuROM - are these Bethesda ... Read More:

I played the 'Game of the Year' edition on our PS3 and, before ordering the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the $50+ for the full thing or maybe start with this, less expensive, configuration and then add the Shivering Isles to it. It was a difficult decision to make because there wasn't enough information available at the time or I could not find it and, in the end, I decided to live dangerously :) and went for the GOTY. Now, that the happy Oblivion-playing days are behind me, I believe that it ... Read More:

So...you've taken the nth run-through of Oblivion and are thinking how wonderful it is to play in a sandbox? Black Isle originally perfected this style of gaming many years ago in Fallout.

What made the Fallout games unique were not just its post-apocalyptic setting, but its character creation scheme - called S.P.E.C.I.A.L (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Ability and Luck). You get some totally hilarious perks - my favourite is Bloody Mess. I have many fond memories of scoring a critical hit with my sniper rifle and watching ... Read More:

When I started playing this game I automatically fell in love with it and it only gets better as you play along. It's a very long game so you get your moneys worth no doubt. I got very close to the end when I ran into a glitch in the game. Seems I'm not the only one with this problem as Bethesda has addressed it. In order to fix the problem anyone with the problem must go out and rent the non-game of the year edition, save at a certain point, work through the glitch then save again to hopefully get by the glitch. Not exactly the customer service I had expected from ... Read More:
