| This is a fine movie from a veteran couple. The notes on the tumbleweeds, the romote western desert scenery, the stuggles, and the triumphs are classic cowboy poetry put to film. Look for a great old timer in this movie. Of Course, this is a Louis L'Amour story. It is written right and filmed right. |

| We just saw this movie on TV and while it probably deserved the 2 stars the TV rating gave it, we had a ball watching it. This movie has it all! Cowboys, Indians, Train Robberies, Mexican Missions, Prostitutes, Gushing Fake Blood, and Samurai. What more could you ask for in a Western. |

| For such a distinguished actor, James Earl Jones has made some really forgettable movies, and I would count Grim Prairie Tales among them. This 1990 anthology piece seems to have garnered decent reviews, but I personally can't see how this movie could impress anyone.
