VHS : The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing
This is a wonderful movie and I don't understand why is has not been released on DVD years ago. It was one of Burt Reynolds best films, one that he should be proud to have released on DVD for all to see and let those that have not seen it find out just how great of a movie it really is.
This is one person that hopes it is released very soon, because it is one movie I will purchase ASAP...
Thanks
Someone who loves this movie........

VHS : Riders of Purple Sage
This made for TV movie was a wonderful surprise! The production is superb and the cast outstanding. In fact, I believe that it would have done well as a theatrical release!

I only take issue with two things:

1) This fine movie has never been released on DVD and it is certainly worthy of such a reissue -- hopefully with some special features.

2) I am a Mormon Studies Scholar and I purchased this video to get acquainted with what is considered one of the definitive, watershed ... Read More:

The "Cheyenne Social Club" features two legendary actors who define Hollywood's portrayal of the American West. Texas cowboy O'Hanlon (Stewart) receives a letter from a lawyer in Cheyenne notifying him that his brother D.J. has passed away and that he has become the heir to his late brother's estate. He and his saddle-pal Harley Sullivan (Fonda) leave the Texas range and begin the 1000 mile ride to Wyoming.

The trip to Cheyenne provides the backdrop for a 1000 mile conversation by Sullivan, much to the bemused annoyance ... Read More:

VHS : Hondo
Thirty years after his death, John Wayne remains an enigma. Many books have been written about him, none of which I've read, and so I know little of his personal life other than he has been both praised for embodying traditional American ideals and reviled for his archconservative bigotry.

Yet he remains today perhaps this country's biggest movie star. Today's actors - Tom Hanks, Russell Crowe, Liam Neeson, Jack Nicholson - are more accomplished actors with greater range; while from Wayne's era, Clark Gable was more handsome, ... Read More:

VHS : Tall Tale: Unbelievable Adventure
TALL TALE has the potential to be an excellent film. The possibilities of a tall tale adventure with Pecos Bill, Calamity Jane, Paul Bunyan, and John Henry should be great. This isn't.
The two stars I gave it are for two performances that head and pretty good cast and the music by Randy Edelmen (the genius behind GETTYSBURG's score). Patrick Swayze is an excellent actor, and now I fully appreciate his ability to turn a complete dud of a role into gold. He takes the role of Pecos, a shallow character, and steals every moment onscreen. ... Read More:
