| I have been reading from Lewis and Clark's journal and I have been trying to stay with them day by day 200 years later. It has been an interesting experience and helps bring history to life. I reflected on the Corps of Discovery last night as I watched, for the first time, the movie "The Big Sky". I found myself seeing scenes that took me back to passages from the journals. | Happened upon this movie on the Hallmark Channel on weekend. After watching this movie, I just had to see the rest of the series. It was just great! If you are a fan of westerns, this is a wonderful series to watch and to own. |

| What a classy dame! Mae West can deliver one liners second to none, and she does so in this great movie about diamonds, seduction and men. It's a common thread with her, but it never gets old. Of all the movies she's done, it's easy to say that she sings the best in the Belle of the Nineties. If you're going to get one Mae West movie, you better add this one to your collection. |

| This was the worse adaption from book to movie I've ever seen!
I fell in love with Julie Garwood's book, For the Roses. It is a wonderfully sexy, mysterious, and funny story! I was so excited to find that a movie was made on one my favorite books. | Action movies are only as good as their villains. Heroics require really nasty bad guys.
Gene Hackman skillfully portrays an antagonist so mean you know he'd kill his own son. Sharon Stone, for the most part, credibly plays the protagonist, but her motivation for revenge seems filched from Harmonica in Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West. The remaining cast of bad guys are cartoonish and the plot stretches credulity beyond the limits, but fine acting and a unique premise work to make this an engaging film. ... Read More: |
