| I happened upon this VHS in a Blockbuster clearance rack about 10 years ago and grabbed it right away. The State had been one of my favorite shows and I needed my 'fix.'
The selection of skits here is great and quite varied. There are a couple notable omissions including Captain Monterey Jack, Old Fashioned Guy and Hits from the 70s. However, if you love off-beat humor and want a good sample of what The State had to offer, this is a great introduction. |

| Dorothy L. Sayers writes many non-fiction books however among her best is the Lord Peter Wimsey series. I came to this series sort of though the back door. My first taste was the BBC productions with Petherbridge as Lord Peter that can now be found on DVD ASIN: B000062XDX. So I read all of Dorothy's books containing the relationship of Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane. Now it is time to go through the whole series.

| I enjoyed watching this, and others from the series, tremendously. The period setting is colourful and adventurous and makes a welcome change from the usual bang bang of US TV programmes. Production quality is excellent and with Bean and other fine actors at the helm what more could you ask for. Well worth the cost of a box set! |

| I guess I didn't miss much by not reading this book as a child. I don't really understand why it became a classic. It starts out interestingly enough with a very gothic setting. A little British girl named Mary survives a cholera epidemic in India and is sent to Yorkshire to live with her distant relatives. The author gives a vivid description of the beauty of the moors and the mysterious mansion that the girl goes to live in. | This movie is top notch. True to life, with one exception, the mistress that Marshall had was a real bow wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Her father, Lester Glenn, in which this trial killed due to a broken heart, was the owner of a car dealership. Maria was beautiful, and Sarann was ugly, lets say howled at the moon!!!!!! The oldest son was on set as an advisor to the movie and made sure his mother story was told honestly, not like his low life father's attorney tried to protray her.
