VHS : Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil
I saw the movie when it came out in the mid 90's and after visiting Savannah this past summer & touring the Mercer house and then reading the book for the fist time, I just had to see it again. I remembered it as being better than I now rate it, but I also read the book before seeing it the second time & I found several things lacking or rushed when comparing it to the book. It is still a must see if you liked the book, but remember that a movie always cuts & changes some things that ... Read More:

VHS : The Beatles - Help!
I don't know why it took me so long to watch/purchase this movie. I am a Beatles freak and own every album and had seen Hard Day's Night, but until this reissue of Help! I just hadn't taken the time to check it out. But I have to say that I liked this movie MORE than Hard Day's Night. The gorgeous color and fun storyline were highly entertaining! This is my kind of movie. Quick little one liners, and funny little bits that if you blink you might miss them. Which also makes this film ideal for repeat ... Read More:

VHS : Darkwing Duck - His Favourite Aventures - The Birth of Negaduck
This video has two of the more interesting episodes of Disney's wild, weird, and wonderful cartoon series "Darkwing Duck". The first one is called simply, "Negaduck", and is one of the two episodes that feature the origins of Negaduck. When Darkwing is struck by a ray from a tron-splitter, it seperates his positrons from his negatrons (the building blocks of good and evil), and cause him to seperate into his good side and his bad side. The interplay between the "two Darkwings" is hilarious ("Violence ... Read More:

VHS : Bond: View to a Kill
People who rave about this movie, it makes me wonder .. have you ever seen a Bond before (Particularly the early ones with Sean Connery and the Moore films LALD, TPWLM, FYEO & OP). This is a bad film no ifs ands or buts. Period. The plot is warmed over GOLDFINGER with Christopher Walken over the top as an East German superman experiment out of control as Max Zorin. Grace Jones bizaare as May Day, Tanya Roberts totally unbelievable as Stacy Sutton, geologist. The opening has Bond in the artic retrieving ... Read More:

I was 18 when I saw this movie for the first time, and it gave me quite a shock - for the first time, I realized a movie could be more than just entertainment, then it could inform, infuriate and chill you at the same time.
This movie depicts the events surrounding the death of the charismatic leader of a leftist Greek political faction. As the judge in charge investigates, he realizes that it isn't an accident, but murder, sanctioned by important people. These events are based on the real-life assassination of Gregorios ... VHS : San Francisco (1936)
This film is a blend of a romantic musical, a disaster movie and an old fashioned morality play. In some respects it is a replay of "The Dancing Lady",in which a talented Joan Crawford is rescued from her downtown burlesque dancing job to become the featured dancer in Gable's uptown musical extravaganza. In the present film, MacDonald, as Mary Blake, undergoes a similar transformation from singer in Gable's(Blackie) Barbary Coast night spot to an opera house owned and frequented by the Knob Hill elite. However, she feels obligated to sometimes ... Read More:
