| It's hard to find a really good Charlie Sheen movie but this one is for sure!
The scenario is great because it is something that can happen to anyone. Its particularly prevalent in today's environment because we apparently have ALOT of people just like Bud Fox. | I first saw this movie years ago on AMC - I'd never heard of it but there wasn't anything else on, so I settled in to watch. After all, with the cast of stars including Rita Hayworth, Ginger Rogers, Henry Fonda, Charles Laughton and Edward G. Robinson, I figured it couldn't be too bad. I was wrong - it was GREAT! | I have seen most (if not all) of his movies. Errol has always been at the top of my list for free spirited actors. He was a rogue. His alcoholism did not help his acting any, but he managed to (in his younger years) be a fine actor with character and heart for the roll he was playing. The movie had a good plot but not enough (at least for me) interaction between him and Barbara. Because I am a very outspoken person, Barbara could have done a better job of standing her ground and confronting him, instead of sneaking around. |

| Twister is one of my all-time favorite action movies and have watched it more times than I would like to admit.The best transfer on DVD still left alot to be desired.Now,the the transfer on Blu-Ray has been cleaned up and improved dramatically.It's not reference quality,of course,but I give the picture a solid 4 out of 5 for a movie of this age.I can't comment on the new lossless soundtrack because I am unable to decode yet.
Definitely highly recommended even if you have the latest DVD version. |

| This insanely romantic movie, fueled by Victor Young's repetitive but unforgettable love theme, has some of the same sort of overripe, unintentionally hilarious dialogue that makes "The Fountainhead" such an entertaining howler of a right wing melodrama, but Jones and Cotton, with their uniquely delicate emotional interplay, are an irresistable couple and their authenticity saves and sells the movie.

| It is a great movie but it is kind of cursed for me.
Second Buyer returns it back and swears that it should be DVD and tells me that I have to give him/her full refund since it is not his fault and the movie was listed as DVD. It is VHS listing, it is VHS tape, it requires VHS player - if you don't know - it a previous century device that plays a magnetic tape in a black box if you still know what it is. Please pay attention when buying that this is a VHS tape and i don't think it exists on DVD yet. Do not expect HDTV quality from this ... Read More: |
