| This movie is great viewing.Just the ticket for people trapped in a mundane existence.It starts out in seedy Vera Cruz sailors bars and takes you on a wild ride with desperate characters in a romp through beautifully shot southern Mexico.One of those great adventures in a foreign land movies.A boozy,brawling,sexy,and somewhat vulgar movie,and very entertaining! |

| I had never seen this film but I thought it might be worthwhile because of the writer, director and cast. I have to say that this is one of the best law enforcement movies I've ever seen. I highly recommend this film to anyone interested in true life police / crime dramas. |

| I have never seen a film which so well captures the terror that is in the heart of a child who lives in fear of an adult caretaker. The director has worked a miracle here. | There's a dialect coach listed in the credits, and her license should be yanked. And burned. Those accents are the worst I've ever heard in any number of crappy movies set in New Orleans. To be fair, maybe the plot was worthwhile, or maybe the performances got better as things developed. But we couldn't listen to it for more than 10 minutes. |
