| As a filmmaker I appreciate Oliver Stone, his provactive, political, conspiratorial, curious, enigmatic, ominous visions of Americana are the stuff of high entertainment. Right or wrong, his works are wonderful cinema, it doesn't matter if his version is slanted to the left, it is a distinct vision and he is skilled at executing it.

| Saw this movie when it first came out ages ago and it always stuck in my mind. I confess that a couple of the main resons it stayed with me was because of the stunning images of the Egyptian countryside and monuments, the equally stunningly gorgeous Frank Langella, and finally, it was a good story about black market buying of ancient artifacts. | This is not the fastest action movie out there but it is VERY COOL! How many other movies show the guys changing magazines in their submachine guns at the proper time? No shooting the guns all day without reloading! Has a good solid story line, some cool one-liners and a lot of neat stunts. This movie is worth adding to your collection. Now to get it on DVD.

| This early 1980s film started the Coen brothers journey into one of the best filmmaking teams ever.
I have been wanting to see this movie for a long time and was happy I landed on this copy. While it is a good transfer to DVD, some of the others who commented on this said many scenes were deleted from the original. Since it was my first time to view this, I loved it and was totally impressed, now I want to see the original in its entirety. | Having watched---and been quite enamored with Margaret Lockwood in "The Lady Vanishes" (3/4 of which takes place over rails), and having been impressed by that film's plot, dialogue, and direction I decided to board "The Night Train to Munich" so to speak, so as to continue the journey. | This tape is actually two seperate pieces that originally appeared on television: The Massacre of the Burkittsville Seven (Made for Showtime), and The Blair Witch Legacy (Made for The Sci-Fi Channel). Massacre explores the Rustin Parr killings, and is by far the better of the two features. It fits well with the documentary-like feel of the first Blair Witch movie, and provides some really chilling insights into the events of that movie. I think it would even be effective on it's own.
