| I love this musical, I saw it for the first time when I was 8, now I'm 18 and I still love to watch it! It is exactly how I remember, but much clearer, I would recommend it to previous viewers and to families with young children. |

| Based on Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet and set in modern New York with rival gangs. This is a great musical! Bernstein's score is a masterpiece of vocal and instrumental arrangements! The sets are a masterpiece of colour and design! The dancing is glorious! The singing is passionate! And it has a raw yet romantic feel. The director has captured a unique and surreal world and has created what I consider the most extraordinary dramatic musical ever made!

| GREAT entertainment if you love the old Motown, Soul, and Volt-Stax Mussel Shoals studios music sound. Also good if just interested in some of the early roots and groups of this phenomonon. It gives a look at a number of the Motown artists we all know about as real people with the same joys and struggles that we all share.

| I've always wanted to see this musical live ever since I read the book, but this video was just as good and cheaper. The last portion when Valjean's character played by all the international cast sing together was absolutely breathtaking. |

| Ripe strawberries ripe....where else can you hear these words in a song? Oliver! is one of those classics that you'll never forget. It is in league with Annie (1984) and Sound of Music. Very deserving of the Academy Oscar award of its time. And is timeless...hehe.
Now if only it came out on Blu-Ray! |

| I just could not believe after all these years, a DVD of Goodbye Mr. Chips is going to be released. Ever since i watched the movie back in 1969 in Hong Kong, the movie and the songs were in my minds always. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend a boarding school two years later and experienced the life of boarding school. The two songs of "You and I" and "Walk through the world with me" are just pure magic and i wish the music producers could give much more credits to these two songs.
