| This is certainly a "sleeper" hit! I have seen this movie well over 200 times and I've stopped counting. It's become a cult classic to me since I was only 13 when it came out! I can recite the lines, know the choreography and can sing along with the cheesy and catchy songs. It's great fun watching these kids, who were dorky Sandusky, Ohio teenagers who make a pack to make it big in New York (the old adage)! | I would highly recomend this to anyone who would like various styles of music. All of the Pavarotti and Friends that I have seen are great. I really enjoyed the performance from Stevie Wonder and The Spice Girls. |

| It was suppose to be in color, but with ongoing problems ...like always..
MGM shot it in black and white. Im so used to see Nelson and Jeanette in black in white that i does not bother me anymore... The Love stories are always a pleasure to watch and the signing usually melts me down. There was some ongoing friction between the two stars when the movie was filmed but it does'nt show. | I was hesitant to go for the two disk set, but it's really worth it if you love musicals, and love MGM movies. The second disk is a great addition, packed with loads of info about Arthur Freed, with commentary by Debbie Reynolds, and it even includes the original film clips of the songs in the movie. This is a great choice for a fan. |

| This is my hands down favorite translation of the Cinderella fairytale I have ever seen put on film! I only wish they would put it on DVD. VHS is such and outdated format and it's hard to come by a good VCR that can properly play older tapes. And the cost of owning these hard to find gems is ridiculous. Why wouldn't a company want to turn a dollar on a classic movie? Leslie Caron is a delightful Cinderella and the "Fairy Godmother" is a hoot! The dance sequences are breathtaking and brilliantly executed. The film is a treasure!! |

| I am the credited director and co-producer of this documentary. I was surprised to see that Amazon actually has the video, I thought it was long gone. No DVD's, too bad. I drifted onto Amazon because a good buddy of mine loved this era and I wanted to get a copy for him. Glad to see that Girl Groups, The Story of a Sound still lives, such as it is.
