VHS : For the First Time
I very highly recommend this Mario Lanza film. It is very enjoyable to watch and colorful. The clothes and scenery are great and also the song selection. It's little shown on television but a really good Mario Lanza film. Mr. Lanza can hit all notes so beautifully. He truly has a angelic voice.

The order was shipped in a really fast manner, and was NEW exactly as described. Due to a mail organizing problem to the address it was sent to, I contacted the seller with questions, which they answered in a courteous and timely manner. Thanks!

VHS : Annie (1999)
I almost cannot imagine a better-cast "Annie" than this one, unless they could somehow get a time machine and bring young Andrea McArdle herself forward to reclaim the title role. Kathy Bates! Alan Cumming! Audra McDonald! Victor Garber as Daddy Warbucks -- maybe the best of all. The musical is regrettably simplified and shortened for its TV running time, but remains extremely enjoyable and, despite budget and set limitations, far livelier than the overwrought 1982 film. The songs are beautifully sung, and ... Read More:

VHS : Serenade

Some might say that Mario Lanza was overweight and not in his best voice for this Movie, but that would be judging him by those factors alone. This in my opinion ironically is Lanza's best Movie ever! Serenade is a very dramatic Movie with great performances from the likes of Joan Fontaine and in particular Sarita Montiel who really makes this Picture. Add this to the beautiful colourful backdrops and a haunting and dramatic score in the use of 'Serenade', and what you have is a cocktail for a fabulous Movie! ... Read More:

VHS : The Beatles - Help!
I don't know why it took me so long to watch/purchase this movie. I am a Beatles freak and own every album and had seen Hard Day's Night, but until this reissue of Help! I just hadn't taken the time to check it out. But I have to say that I liked this movie MORE than Hard Day's Night. The gorgeous color and fun storyline were highly entertaining! This is my kind of movie. Quick little one liners, and funny little bits that if you blink you might miss them. Which also makes this film ideal for repeat viewing. The visuals are just ... VHS : Cabaret (25th Anniversary Special Edition)
The play 'Cabaret' seems to evoke the atmosphere of 1930s Berlin and the tawdry desperation of that time. The movie version is very good with vivid costumes, color and music, though I've seen a version by a local small-town theater group that I thought had a better story line.

128.I Married an Angel starring: Jeanette MacDonald, Nelson Eddy, Edward Everett Horton, Binnie Barnes, Reginald Owen

VHS : I Married an Angel
The films of Nelson Eddy and Jeanette Macdonald have always held a special
place in my heart, cause they usually point to love and music. Films that
have affected audiences for a long time. They also made people feel better
in the dark days of war.
And today, they still make us feel good. There's a magical chemistry
when they are together. This only lasted 8 films, and Married to a
Angel was their last one. Saw it as a kid, and even today i still love
this film. Dont try to disect the movie, ... Read More:

VHS : Singing Nun
A must-see for those who did not grow up during the Debbie Reynolds' era. The music is melodious and the movie has a message. Great story, has everything, drama, comedy, unrequieted love, choices. Bittersweet ending for the viewer, joyful ending for the nun who asked the Lord for guidance, then let Him lead the way!

VHS : The Slipper and the Rose
I saw this movie in the movie theater when I was 10 years old. For years I looked for it to be on TV and have always considered it my favorite movie, even though none of my friends had ever seen it. When my now husband and I were dating we were talking favorite movies. He asked me what my favorite was and I told him it was one nobody had ever seen and did not tell him. I then asked him what his favorite movie was. He said it was also one nobody had ever seen and was called "The Slipper and the Rose". I knew then we were meant to be together! Twenty-four ...
