| I remember watching this movie as a kid. It really has memorable songs, and cute aspects that make an otherwise violent subject (prohibition-era gangsters) humorous. It was cool finding a clean DVD. |

| I first saw this film back in the 70's on the big scrren...and never forgot it. It's one of the most wonderful Christmas movies. This film captures the spirit of the original Dickens story, adding the zest of beautiful, gritty London sets, delightful music (why oh why has a CD never been released?) and wonderful performances from the actors. | I'd usually give it a 4 star rating...but due to it's "underdog" status it won't hurt to bolster it a little. Besides, the 1-star reduction was only considering that not everyone who watches this will have the same nostalgia as me and the other reviewers seem to keep with us.

| Your level of enjoyment will probably depend on how much you appreciate Zappa and his particular brand of [...]. As a movie musical, it seems at times to be a parody of the genre while simultaneously stretching the form well beyond its normal parameters. | I guess we have more Blues Clues videos and DVDs than any other character. He's been a favorite of my son's since before he was one year old. Now he's almost 2 1/2 and has begun to develop more serious tastes. I have taken a bit of abuse from the unenlightened for adding this video to my collection, being a "grown-up " and all, but it is great entertainment. The muppets (!) on a camping trip (!) in the Rocky Mountains (!) with John Denver (!). It doesn't get any better than that. Lots of beautiful scenery, gags and great music. Yes, On the Turning Away done live on this album is without question the summit of great lead guitar work. Gilmour bleeds his Strat and blends it with power chords that weaken the knees. Best lead guitar song ever recorded. Stack it against any, and I mean any, guitar solo. There seems to be a "how fast can he play?" or "how complicated can he get?" mentality in music in the past decades.
