VHS : Puccini - Tosca
Buy this video for Domingo and Raimondi. They are fabulous! Catherine Malfitano, I thought, wasn't so great. She sang pretty well, but I've heard better Tosca's than she. My biggest complaint with her is her extremely exaggerated facial expressions. She seems to be going cross-eyed in "vissi d'arte". They are frequent, annoying and just serve to ruin the wonderful atmosphere that Domingo and Raimondi have created.
Aside from her, there is some very strange blue lighting at the end of act ... Read More:

VHS : Motley Crue: Decade of Decadence '81-'91
It's a sad irony that Motley Crue now seem to have more retrospective sets than actual albums now. Which one you buy depends on how much of a fan you are. The 2 "Music to Crash Your Car By" sets are for hardcore fans only, same with "Supersonic & Demonic Relics". "Red White & Crue", while certainly extensive has too many obscure tracks for its own good. And the "Greatest Hits" set is just an expansion of their first (and still best) collection "Decade of Decadence". Released in 1991 to commemorate ... Read More:

VHS : Kathy Smith Timesaver - Lift Weights to Lose Weight, Vols. 1 & 2
I have only used Kathy Smith videos a few times. As a matter of fact, I have only bought them for cardio and was never too impressed. I've always done weight training by myself, never with a video. . . but, feeling as if I've plateaued, I bought a few weight training dvds. This was among them.

Wow. I am very impressed.

Both dvds are excellent, and I'm working muscles that I haven't worked as extensively for quite a while. She's just excellent and the cuing is fantastic.

Both ... Read More:

VHS : Peter, Paul and Mary, 25th Anniversary Concert
I listened to PP&M's music growing up, but this concert, the first of several concerts aired by PBS, is still the best of them all. It includes all the classic songs for which the trio is justly popular, as well as several songs from their then current album. I remember sitting and watching this cincert with one of my parents when it first aired, and we watched many times thereafter. Even though it was used a VHS, I found the picture and sound quality to be excellent, and again my only gripe is that is not on DVD. ... Read More:

VHS : Hanson - Tulsa, Tokyo & the Middle of Nowhere
This video is flat-out awesome. Those Hanson boys do some crazy things! From the footage of touring around the world ("in Frahnce, haha!"), to clips of them interacting as a family ("We love each other!")it is so much fun to watch. Also, the two music videos (MMMbop and Where's the Love) are excellent. You will not be disappointed with TTAMON.

148.Sesame Street - Learning About Numbers starring: Carlo Alban, Alan Arkin, Paul Benedict, Larry Block, Lexine Bondoc

VHS : Sesame Street - Learning About Numbers
Sesame Street has great content, but I am frustrated with the navigation issues (they are the same for many of the Sesame Street DVDs -- read reviews). You are forced to sit through commericals for Sesame Street, you can't fast forward or jump to the main menu. My toddler loses interest while I have to wait until the nav shows up to press the play button. Best to start the DVD and then wander back when you want to see it. A shame they messed it up -- the best kids DVDs go right to the menu.
