| At the end of this film I just decided, as will you, that this movie kind of stinks. The story is of a woman who becomes possessed by a vampire and then spends her time roaming around her castle looking for something to eat. It is seriously lacking something and I would say that it might be directorial talent as Roger Vadim seems to have had no interest in anything while he was making it. | This 2-disc DVD set is good. The motion picture is sharp and has surround sound. There's action, alot of special effects, and a little humor.
The special features tell the details of how the movie was made which has some humor in it and is very interesting. Swarzeneggar said that he lifted weights for 3 months in preparation for this film so he'd look just as fit as he did in the other 2 Terminator movies. | This is one of the best movies ever made. This isn't just a classic, this movie is one of the movies that paved the way for other sci fi movies. This is as much of a classic as Wizard of Oz or Gone with the Wind and in my opinion this is better than both of those movies put together. |

| I just purchased the newly-in-a- keepcase (not a snapper)edition which has ©2008 on the back cover fine print (Amazon says 2007)
I had held out because I had heard rave reviews of the remaster for the box set back in 2003-which you could only buy in the set at the time . | Ok, this is another Universal monster movie, but an excellent one! The money spent on this production was pretty hefty. Claude Rains, Ralph Bellamy, Lon Chaney Jr. and others. Wow! Poor Lon Chaney Jr. loves a girl but gets attacked by a wolf. Poor guy, he ends up having some really sleepless nights when a full moon appears. What to do? Maybe Bela Legosi as a gypsy can help? Or that lady gypsy, does she know anything? |

| Those that are not fans of Dark Shadows will never see the "Dan Curtis" creativity in this movie. The late Dan Curtis was like a Gene Roddenberry when it came to daytime horror drama. Underappreciated and never quite understood, he made us love to be scared. Night of Dark Shadows, gives David Selby and Kate Jackson (a very young Kate Jackson) a chance to standout on their own from the other cast members in their own movie. | An all star cast, headed up by Gregory Peck and Lawrence Olivier, makes this a great thriller about the cloning of Hitler. As others noted at the time this movie was made cloning was off in the future but as science makes science fiction reality, it makes the movie more powerful in having a basis for "What If?"
The DVD itself was okay in terms of picture quality and played well on my DVD Player and I did not find that it detracted from the movie. Great acting, great story great movie. |

| I love this movie! It is cheesy and inappropriate in the best of ways. Total B movie. Nudity, drug use, exploding mannequins, pimp stereotypes and lots of [...]. But if you can handle that, and would like to see a mad scientist-esque character piecing together a new body out of hookers for his recently deceased fiance then this movie is well worth watching!!! The ending is fabulous as well as fabulously unexpected! I love this movie and I love my friend for introducing me to it. :) |
