| The Hand That Rocks the Cradle is all about Rebecca De Mornay in what I consider her best role and performance to date. What makes her character all the more scary is not only the fact she is beautiful but because she behaves so cool, calm and collected from one manipulation to the next. | The Birds was the most ridiculous horror movie I've watched (and that includes The Evil Dead and other junk). Not only because of the lousy special effects - let's relegate those to the lack of technology. But the characters' reactions to the bird attacks often are preposterous. Let's pick the final scene when Miss Daniels hears a wing flutter and goes in the room at the top of the house, and see how many things are wrong with it:

| John Zacherle's "Cool Ghoul" character was originally called "Roland." He started his TV hosting career on Philly's WCAU, went to NYC's WABC in 1958 then to WOR in '59 and WPIX in 1963. At age 90 Zach is still making personal appearances!

| The story is not as bizarre as fan reaction to it! We have everything from someone who assumes that Eric Saward, who wrote Colin Baker's best story, is to blame for this, to those who think it is total genius, and everything else in between! Sheesh! Amazing! How can I put this. | This little viewed film of the 1980's put James Spader on the map. What a performance! Spader, along with the always reliable Robert Picardo and a surprisely effective Cynthia Gibbs navigate this up-to-date version of the Jack the Ripper Tale. A really creepy film. Enjoy! |

| Based on the play by Frederick Knott, 1967's WAIT UNTIL DARK was very much "the" thriller of the era, a shocker that set audiences screaming--particularly in the film's final ten minutes, when cinema lights were lowered to the legal limit, placing both characters and audiences in near total blackout for the the movie's climax. | At the end of this film I just decided, as will you, that this movie kind of stinks. The story is of a woman who becomes possessed by a vampire and then spends her time roaming around her castle looking for something to eat. It is seriously lacking something and I would say that it might be directorial talent as Roger Vadim seems to have had no interest in anything while he was making it. Being a vampire movie I found it odd that it was almost completely void of any blood, but it also proves that he wasn't here for cheap thrills. There is also no character development and ...
