| This is one of those movies I didn't expect to hit me the way that it did. I love Hepburn and MacLaine and so I was anticipating finally getting to sit down and watch this film, but I truly had no idea what to expect. | Actually, it may have done it way before that. I don't like to give negative reviews but this movie is out of control. Somebody should have reigned these folks in, or, well, put a stop to it. Even on paper it just sounds insulting to the gay community and to AIDS victims. See, movies like Longtime Companion and Torch Song Trilogy were great and moving films. | This film was alright, It had descent acting, I wouldn't buy the film but if someone gave it to me i'd take it. This one of those films you have to see for yourself. |

| I agree with everyone stating the historic importance of this movie. Tede Matthews, the red haired hurricane in the movie was my roommate and best friend when this film came out...He knew it was important then and would be so happy to know that the rest of us are finally catching up. Like so many artist from that time period, we lost Tede to AIDS in the early 1990's. | This was a good follow up to mtotc. I must warn you about the dvd. The first would not do anything and then I had it replaced and the second did the same. I would not buy the dvd. I then ordered the Vhs and that did fine until the last 10 minutes. It started skipping and you could see a clip here and there. Missed the best ending. This is why I gave it a four star. Hope there will be more to come and that the next one will work properly. |

| Very enjoyable movie about two grown sons (one gay, the otherstraight) who are spending their summer with their eccentric mother(played by the wonderful Lee Grant). The story centers around a romantic fling the gay son has, and Lee Grant's character fearing that she has breast cancer. I love that this whole movie has such a summertime feeling. This movie is A MUST for fans of Lee Grant (who also played the mother of a gay man dying of AIDS in "It's My Party"). My only complaint is that the actor playing the gay son is a little too ... | For those of us who were old enough to see "Making Love" when it first came out over a quarter century ago, a second look is well worth it. At the time, this film was considered groundbreaking, if not overly deep, but one is reminded that this was a pre-AIDS era and one where gay themes had not yet been tackled in a two-hour film.

| This DVD was shown at a campus-wide event sponsored by the Ally Group called "DocuMovie Night". Reception of the message was fantastic. Everyone present enjoyed all of the facts and ideas presented and, following the stunned/shocked silence following the showing, we had a great discussion. No one who watched this DVD was prepared in the least for one of the greatest and still mostly untold horror of WWII. Truly a MUST-SEE. |
