| I have a VHS tape of this film. It's worn from playing it so much over the past 20(?) years. So many people I've come in contact with have never seen it ... so it's been loaned out a lot, too. I never thought to look until now and what a treat to discover that it's now on DVD. The characterizations, beautiful settings, adventures and historical liberties taken never steal focus, but further enhance, the deep love these two people (Toklas and Stein) had for each other. | I gave my VHS copy of this film away years ago, planning to buy it on dvd. Before I did, I read the reviews here and found that the dvd version is censored and for that reason I haven't bought it.
I love the film, but I want it the way it was made to be. Does anyone know if a true unedited version is planned? |
