| Though the lighting and overall atmospheric quality in the movie lack a certain quality, Joy Kelly comes forward as an actor with an amazing amount of class. Her portrayal of Roberta holds a ring of truth to a quiet woman who truly knows her sexuality without the flamboyance of some of the other characters. | The film covers a short period of time in the life of Omar, a young Pakistani living in London in the 80's. His father is a brilliant, well educated socialist who was famous back home but is a nobody there, so he has taken to his bed with a bottle of vodka. His hope is in Omar, and he expects him to go to college to understand the evils of society. Meanwhile, though they need cash and he calls on his successful brother, Nassar to give Omar a summer job in one of his many businesses.

| I love this movie, but I put it at the level of fanfic. As long as you don't expect too much, it's great.
It's not well made, not well written or well acted, but if you can see past all that and release your mind into the realm of pure fantasy Noel and Claire make for a great first time story. In fact, if Noel looked like Xena and Claire looked like Gabriel, it would be the average Xena uberfic. So watch it, but do so with an open mind and don't expect it to be great cinema. It's more ... | Hitchcock's first color film was this stage adaptation pieced together from only about a dozen takes. It's similar to Dial M, but with a psychological slant that, along with the factual basis for the story, make it a hard picture to really enjoy. The cast is too credible to allow us much amusement from the sophisticated double entrendres of the central crime. | Ok.. one might believe that someone who loves this series must be gay, but that would just be ignorant! Actually, the beauty of these characters are found within all of us, that's why it's so great! I am (was) alot like the Paul Gross character and the cast of characters is so good that I think everyone finds themselves somewhere in here. And everyone gets along!!
