| This video is very helpful for basic stuff. It really takes you from zero drumming to some blues drumming very quickly! However the video is SHORT, it is 38 min and if you want step over the basics into musicianship of blues drumming get "Blues Drums" DVD with Dave Russell. While this DVD let you start, Dave will keep you going! This video is much focused and very concentrated. However it stays up to promise as it teaches you some blues drumming in very short time. | I've decided to mark the anniversary of Mister Rogers' passing by doin' a write-up of one his shows on tape-- this one to be exact (like duh, right?). Thing is, I never really got into Mister Rogers when I was a young'un. The guy creeped me out somethin' fierce with his nauseatingly upbeat "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" song that opened every show, his doofy knitted sweater & deck shoes, and his eerily gentle & overly-cheerful demeanor. | I am a very novice singer, and after reading the 2 reviews that had been previously posted about this VHS product, I actually bought it after reading them, thinking I could learn something from it to help my singing voice. After receiving it, I popped into my tape player, excited to start learning to sing better, I was VERY disappointed with the quality of the VHS tape, and the teaching skills were useless as far as helping me to be a better singer. | I purchased this DVD because that I already own the VHS, and I've almost worn it out! The sets and camera "tricks" are only so-so, but the choreography is a challenge for the upper-elementary aged kids. I use "La Bamba" every year for Cinco de Mayo, and the kids don't want to leave class. Also, I've used both "Locomotion" and "Everybody Dance Now" in program presentations, complete with lighting effects. Dance steps are shown in a manner easy to follow and learn, and the kids love the "cool" music. Just keep in mind ... Read More: |

(Most of my students were inner city kids) They loved. I do advise that you view it first, since in the last 3 minutes of the video she shows a Limborg brothers work that the men have no underpants (although they look like cow udders!
