| I have agree with a previous reviewer---in a lefted-handed way. If you are an evangelical christian who rejects the very foundation of modern biology--the fact of evolution (some people misunderstand the meaning of "theory" as "idea" or "opinion")--then this video (and series) is not for you. Created by the BBC as a general introduction to scientific concepts, this series uses established scientific facts to teach children (and, occasionally, adults) about the world in which we live.

| I used to watch this movie almost every day when i was a little kid. I absolutly love love love it!! Its about what happens when the cast of sesame street gets locked inside the met. museum of art after it closes and how big bird meets this boy named prince sahu and helps him become a star!!! there are a bunch of really great songs and overall is just a really fun movie that kids and adults can watch together! I highly recommend it!!! |

| This is an excellent series, done in a similar style to the WWII documentary "World at War" (both were produced by Jeremy Isaacs--Ted Turner had seen that earlier program and asked Isaacs to produce a cold war documentary). Unfortunately it's never been put on DVD, and the VHS version has long been out of print, with used copies typically fetching over a hundred dollars. | Best Sesame Street movie ever. It started my love for all things Egyptian, and for museums! I now work in one, and on my days off, I travel around going to other museums! This movie sparked my obsession. It is educational, and something no child will forget! |

| Accurate, shmaccurate. I have wonderful memories of catching this episode of nova on television with my family, and went looking for it on Amazon on a whim. I ordered it and watched it again, and if anything it has gotten better. I guess I don't really care if Nova lied about their methods, or if they inaccurately claim their data supports that of "Egyptology" - (what, the entire field of Egyptology?) - I do however value the oafish and volatile humor of the Massachusetts stonemason, boarishly out of place in his tourist ... | Jewels of the Caribbean is by far the best documentary I have seen on marine life. I am a marine biologist and have seen probably every show out there. The footage, narrations, music, etc. on this video are wonderful. The shot of the ray swimming in circles in front of the camera's light is amazing. I have watched this movie dozens of times and never get tired of watching it. I teach marine biology and make a point if having my students watch this video (and they don't even fall asleep!). | While this is, technically, an adequate-to-good documentary (Barbara Kopple always does technically proficient work) -- as for its *truthfulness* about the characters involved, specifically, Woody and his now-wife Soon Yi, it's an excellent example of Woody Allen's ongoing manipulation of the media.

| This film, and the others in the series, was produced by PBS along with the glut of specials and documentaries looking back at 1900 to 1999 that came along at the turn of the 21st century. The difference between this one and those others is that this is excellent. Actually there was one other documentary series about the 20th Century that does hold a candle to this one.
