| I saw this movie when I was a kid of course and now that I teach US History was hoping that it might work in place of the ever popular Saving Private Ryan. The movie is all about the background of the boys, how they grew up, the relationship they had as brothers, their fighting spirit and how they tried to make sure they stayed together in the military (in this case the Navy) during the war. | This video presents the concept of life after death in a logical, no-nonsense way. I never got any feeling that any of this is fictional. When I was done watching it, I felt great peace. One thing I especially like is that it addresses the skeptics' view that these experiences are simply a matter of our brains shutting down. It has a lot of great information and it doesn't dumb it down (if you get what I mean). Its not just a biography of the events in Shakespeare's life, it looks at him as a man and explores how events in his life triggered his creative process. | I originally purchased this for a friend who is also a teacher, however after seeing it, I decided I wanted one for my classroom as well! It is a great mix of animation and actual footage. My friend teaches in the primary grades and we both felt additional instruction and explanation might be necessary for that audience. I teach upper elementary and the DVD will support a basal reader selection quite nicely and without additional instruction. Highly recommend. |

| I naturally agree with the previous reviews of this splendid Documentary which encapsulates the dramatic distinct Seasons in that part of Alaska.The families featured on this film certainly led active lives considering the harsh extremes of the Seasons. I travelled up to the Northern Coastal plain in the Brooks Range a few years ago, and was privileged to be in the company of , Roger The Bush Pilot , it was great travelling with a person so well versed on the country, and Wildlife of Alaska. I give this film my high recommendation. |
