| This film is technically excellent, but there is an old timey "feel" to it, reminding me of "educational" films (narrated by the incomparable Alexander Scorby) I saw as a boy sitting in darkened grade-school classrooms, while other kids passed notes and whispered and giggled.

| Let me say this first, if you do not like Michael Moore don't watch this movie. Also, if you are conservative and very pro-gun ownership, then you will hate this movie. This movie uses the Columbine shooter to jumpstart a discussion and investigation of the 2nd Amendment and why the United States has more gun related homicides than any other nation. | First I want to say that the VHS is available thru PBS directly for $2.99 plus shipping and handling of less than $5.00. They also offer the DVD for $24.99 plus s/h.
I just ordered mine, and have not viewed it yet. But it's pretty much universally regarded the best current production regarding Tesla. | I first watched this documentary probably in 1993 or 1994. I thought this must surely ranked as the finest documentary that I had ever watched. There was a repeat on this documentary a few years later and I did not miss it.
I could still remember a large male lion chasing a hyena and for a brief moment I thought the lion would give up the chase knowing that male lions are not made for distance running. | Marc Reisner's book is certainly superior, packed with eye-opening information about the evolution of water policy. Read that first.
