VHS : Once Upon a Time in the West
Sergio Leone is unique in his field, and particularly in the western genre. He was in his fourth year of spaghetti western, let's say in full swing, in this film. You know it is Sergio Leone by several elements that do not tell a lie. The music always has the same texture, the same taste, the same sonorities, with the eternal harmonica. Then the landscape, the sunshine, the light, the vegetation and of course practically no fauna, and in this one, not even a snake. Hardly a few horses, a couple of ... Read More:

VHS : Fast Times at Ridgemont High
FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH is the best comical high school movie I've ever seen along with the fact that this DVD has some very interesting bonus features on it as well like showing scenes of "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" where they played a popular hit song in the 1980's like "She's Gonna Be Somebody's Baby Tonight" by Jackson Browne, "We Got The Beat" by The Go Go's, etc.

In addition to some of the interesting bonus features on this DVD, it showed the cast & crew of "Fast Times" ... Read More:

VHS : Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
Henry - Portrait of a Serial Killer is one of the best movies about the behavior of a serial kiiler ever! It's loosely based on a true story but it shows the absence of a real personality and absence of guilt true to real serial killers.

Surprisingly, this middle aged boys' weekend-out is much more sexy than many pure-porno movies, but a bit boring for stupidity of a realm screened.

i didn't think the acting was all that great. the barfing scenes get old (and real disgusting) real quick. i could say the same for the characters. all you can do is shake your head. what was the point of this movie? a disgusting spectacle? it succeeds there.

i'll give it this much: i kept watching, and actually started getting interested in the story a good hour into it. mildly interested, that is, when they reach tijuana and catch up with sister gomez (vincent de gallo). she takes them under her wing with the purpose ... Read More:

I enjoy this movie. A fun science fiction film - a low budget one that delivers some very unique monsters from Mars. This one is famous for the Rat Bat Spider , in fact there are toys and kits of this creature. There are other Mars wonders as well, like giant Amoebas, killer planets,etc.. I love how the movie goes all Red when the cast is on Mars. Acting is ok for this kind of movie. a B effort, but it is really a lot of fun. Check it out. And its cheap on DVD !

VHS : Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mamma's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feelin' So Sad
A zany black comedy about a typical family consisting of a domineering mother (Rosalind Russell), two man-eating piranhas, several Venus flytraps, a baby son - aged twenty-five! (Robert Morse), a lecherous babysitter (Barbara Harris), and a father (Jonathan Winters) who just happens to be a stuffed corpse hanging in the closet!

Based on the hit play by Arthur L. Kopit, Oh Dad is a blending of riotous comedy with dramatic elements that move within close range of tragedy. Black-as-pitch, hysterical and sadly ignored upon its initial release, ... Read More:

VHS : Fly (1950)
The best laid plans of mice and men, not to mention flies.

This is first rate science fiction, but of a heart-wrenching variety.

This story is a bit in the spirit of Jack London tales, where some spirited individual gets crushed (in this case, literally), by going out too far on his own.

In this case the spirited individual is a family man who happens to be a scientific genius, developing in his basement the first matter teleportation device. It works, but he fails to realize that the wilderness he confronts in it is not as ... Read More:

This classic movie was never meant to be taken seriously, but it is seriously funny and a great spoof on horror movies.

VHS : Raising Arizona
There was a time, many many years ago, before National Treasure, Ghostrider and Bangkok Dangerous, that Nicholas Cage was in the greatest movie of all time. That movie, was Raising Arizona. If you haven't seen it, please start a Netflix account right now and queue up 4 movies and watch in this order:

1st - National Treasure (wow, did I just sit through that?)
2nd - Ghostrider (wow, someone in Hollywood funded this?)
3rd - Bangkok Dangerous (wow, this is on DVD already? I saw it just opened last week in the theater???)

at this point, you are ... Read More:
