| Maybe I could have understood the movie better if I wasn't having so much fun watching it! Why are Sam and Dale stuck out in the universe instead of going back to earth? Well, I'd stay out in space if the alternative was the dreary, dust-ridden planet we get a glimpse of at the beginning of the film. The movie picks up steam and color as soon as Dr. Zharkov kidnaps our hero and heroine and whisks them off to save the planet, and especially when they reach the court of the fabulous Ming the Merciless. | This movie is pretty much tongue in cheek sci fi.
Jack in the golden arches from outer space wants to Kentucky fry humans. The aliens seem unstoppable after butchering a small New Zealand town. To the rescue is an odd team of young commandos. The rest is a shoot out between the heroes and the invaders. As bad as the dialog and special effects are the comedy touches kind of make up for it. I just don't much like horror movies... |

| I bought this movie because I remembered watching it when I was younger, and thought my son might like to see it. He, and I have watched it about 7 or 8 times since we received it. He loves it as much as I did when I was his age. John Cusack is so funny! It really is a great movie if you like over the top comedy. |
