| I have some Surrender Cinema stuff and they are really good softcore. But, this DVD is not. It's completely censored, if you buy it, you're gonna miss all the good parts. It lasts only 70+min when it's supposed to last 90. Don't buy this unless you get a really uncut version. |

| Hell Up In Harlem is a sequel to Black Caesar. Black Caesar, clearly "inspired by" the classic gangster film, Little Caesar, showed the evolution of Tommy Gibbs (Fred Williamson) from errand boy for the mob to Black Godfather of Harlem. It was never in any danger of winning an Oscar, but it was a classic blaxploitation movie and well worth seeing.

| If you like the 50's horror classics or cheesy 70's (but well made) B movies, this is a good one. I've always been a Strother Martin fan. Great around Halloween time. Scared me to death when I was a kid. Now I enjoy seeing it once a year. Special effects for the time are good. Get the popcorn and enjoy an old drive-in movie! |

| I rented this film and Truffault's Day for Night one night, and showed them to a love interest of mine at the time. I showed her Day for Night, which she absolutely hated and despised (despite the fact it was a dubbed, pan and scan version, so she couldn't have used the "subtitled/letterbox" excuse many use). She stopped calling me after that. I wished I had shown her The Devils, as it would have warped her fragile, little mind and stayed in her subconscious for the rest of her life. | follow along on a 2.5 hour trip through the mind of Lynch, who enjoys being strange just to be strange. why are we subjected to the first half hour of nonsense?
As a fan of the TV series I enjoyed seeing a much darker side of LeLand Palmer then we saw in the TV series. Ray Wise delivers a strong performance. Sorry not to see Lara Flynn Boyle as Donna, her replacement was not even close. |
