| I totally think this movie rocks. Yes it is cheesy,but it is a really good movie. Personally I think the only good thing about the first one was the Romons and that is it. I would really like to see this movie on DVD. |

| This was a stunning movie in its day! Of course, it's a bit dated now, but I think it has well stood the test of time. Bette Davis and Joan Crawford were off-screen rivals who were not too fond of each other anyway. But, they had never worked together before! | Seriously, this movie is not worth the more than 3 stars many people give it. Yes, give credit to Price for playing a vile character sans the usual "camp" factor, but that praise on its own makes neither his acting nor the whole of this film great. I found myself fast forwarding through several sections that would have offered nothing more if I let them play at normal speed. | Joan Collins appeared bored through most of the film. The box cover is a sale ploy. You never see Miss Collins dressed that way in the movie.
Robert Lansing had some great moments as the fearless boat skipper. His performance was believable. The special effects were bad. The music was not memorable. Another thing: half way through the movie it goes from bad science fiction to twilight zone when the survivors reached the town. | Full Moon made a few very good movies in the early 90s (Subspecies, Puppet Master, Trancers, Demonic Toys) before producing steadily lower quality material and excessive numbers of sequels. They chose quantity over quality (as if there weren't already enough poorly made horror/sci-fi movies to choose from). Now Full Moon's early (good) stuff is out of print and virtually forgotten.
