| I was lucky, or unlucky, enough to see this movie Fri. night 3/21/08 on the TCM channel. This is what you get when you can't sleep. By the way, it was followed by Penitentiary, but I digress. This movie hooked me like a roadside fatality car accident, I didn't want to look, but I couldn't look away. The acting was awful, but the story was interesting; it showed the lengths a sister would go to for her man, when she ain't got nothing to lose and she is from "Sippi" or Mississippi for the unhip. ... | If you're not a Sex Pistols or Sid Vicious fan you could really like this movie, but don't trust anything it shows, it's all lies. The movie was made without the concent of any of the Sex Pistols members, they consolted Joe Strummer from The Clash instead of going to Johnny Rotten. It's all BS! If the movie had been about other people, let's say Sam & Natalie, it would have been a lot more enjoyable, but as Sid & Nancy it's worthless. | well this is a lot of fun the acting is not bad just simple it is a camp but Willaim Marshal does a good job as the Black Vampire Pam Grier is good also ther is not a lot of blood the picture quility is good no exstra,s just trailers just enjoy what it is good fun and entertainment. |

| I bought this 2-DVD set for a friend and ended up liking it so much I got one for myself. It is an excellent tribute to the Bela Lugosi classic. You can watch this film many different ways on this collection. The classic version, one with a different musical score (by Philip Glass performed by the Kronos Quartet), with two different commentaries, and with "monster tracks" which are pop-up text of informational tid-bits on the different players and scenes. | Duke(Fred Williamson) rolls into Bucktown, MO, for his brother's funeral. After being left his brother's bar in his will, Duke decides to reopen it, but soon finds out that the town is "run by honkies". | It took me a second viewing to really appreciate this film. Since then I have watched it many times.
This is one of the rare movies where Richard Gere has an equally attractive co-star (Valerie Kaprisky). Intersection with Sharon Stone would be another example. Richard and Valerie are hard to beat as pure eye candy. They apparently agreed, as word has it that they embarked on a tempestuous affair after this film.
