| Tea with Mussolini is just plain awful. What a waste of talent with
a deplorable script that will make you cringe. It's painful to watch. What really is gaulling is that this film is available on DVD and another Maggie Smith film "The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne" is not available on DVD. Now that's a tragedy. I wish I could be more complimentary but "Tea" is such a disappointment. |

| Orson Welles plays a role in this movie that is different from any I've seen him in before. As the proper English Captain Hart who ferries the boat to Hong Kong, he is continually pestered by an obnoxious drunk who lives on the boat, because without his papers, he is not allowed to land anywhere. | I have never seen a film which so well captures the terror that is in the heart of a child who lives in fear of an adult caretaker. The director has worked a miracle here. She has enabled us to see the world through the eyes of an abused child, and it is not easy to watch, but it is essential viewing for all who want to understand child abuse.

| I was charged a month later for "Amazon Prime" which I did not sign up for, nor did I authorize the charge, which will cause overdrafts in my bank account. I am very displeased that Amazon would not ask me to authorize this charge or even send me an e-mail informing me of it. | This excellent movie is beautifully photographed, deeply affecting, intricate but clear, and it illustrates the monstrous abuse a totalitarian government perpetrates upon its citizens and their heroic battles against it. I highly recommend it. |

| This is one of my favorite movies ever. Every character is deliciously crafted which adds to such a great mix of enjoyable interactions and fun. Satire, warmth and folly are all blended nicely. Everyone in the film, Tatie, the nephew, the wife, the sister-in-law, the kids, the care-giver, beauty-salon co-worker and nursing home staff are all favorites. Quite a gem indeed. BRAVO! |
