VHS : Pokemon Heroes
This part 6/10. "Pokemon Heroes" really stuck with me after I watched it. It also has a great rewatchable factor. I do think the obvious reference to Annie Oakley was corny though. Who would ever name their daughter Oakley? Latias and Latios are interesting. I like having two main characters with this one. The connection between the two made this a great watch. The likelihood to Venice was great. I loved watching the race through Alto Mare at the beginning. Definitely a good comeback for Pokemon.

VHS : Space Adventure Cobra (Dub)
There seems to be some some disappointed folks with this movie, having high expectations but being let down as they watch it. There's good reason for this: this is the version that sucks.

This is the 1998 version brought over and dubbed by Urban Vision. The main villain's name is "Crystal boy" (really? yes.) and it's completely lame. I don't even know who does the music. It's an attempt to be more mainstream anime and more energetic. Unfortunately, the story is all over the place and makes little sense. ... Read More:

VHS : Slayers 5-8
Slayers is about a 15 year old girl who travels around hunting thiefs and robbers. She uses her knowledge of black magic to help her do this.

This is the first season of the TV show from Japan, and it introduces some key players that will stick around for a long time. I recommend that you watch and/or buy Slayers Vol. 1-4 before buying this box set. It makes it a whole lot easier to understand the series and it should be considered essential if you're going to continue watching this series.

VHS : Professional: Golgo 13
The Professional: Golgo 13 is an oldie but goodie that was originally put out by now defunct Streamline Productions. Back in the 90's, before the DVD format took over, Streamline's anime catalogue laid the foundation for today's anime. Akira, Neo Tokyo, Vampire Hunter D, Fist of the North Star, Lupin--all of these titles were born out of Streamline. As anime studios adapted the DVD format, Streamline couldn't keep up with the changes and went out of business; their orphaned titles languished in moratorium status. Slowly, ... Read More:

VHS : Mobile Suit Gundam - The Battle Begins (V.1)
Yikes! Again I was amazed to find it here in Amazon.com. I saw this sci-fi sequels when I was really small (am still young, excuse me). It is so cool!!! I wonder why didn't they make a movie?

Mobile Suit Gundam is kinda like Star wars, but has a different storyline. It is more like a gigantic robots war. All I remember is: there is a group of Aliens coming to attack the earth, and here is this earth spaceship and these gigantic robots to protect the earth. Among them, Gundam, which is THE most powerful robot, is operated ... Read More:

I bought this for my grandson, 3 years of age, without knowing about the tv program. He moved to another state recently, and was telling his Mom about it. I just ordered one to send to him. I ordered the first issue, which sounds delightful! I will write another review when my daughter watches this with him.
