| My son was a student at Morehouse when this documentary was filmed and can be seen in the video. 14 years later my son remembers his years at Morehouse as some of the most important in his life and has formed many lifelong relationships from his years there. I only wish it were released in DVD form. It would make a great gift. |

| If you want to watch a pre-Oscar Halle stomp mannishly up one of the world's most famous boulevards oo-ing and ah-ing like an oafish American tourist and mangling every French term she is forced to utter by an incredibly banal script, then this is the travelogue for you. No super photography. Minimal history. I thought it might trigger fond memories of my visit to Paris and teach me a little something. No such luck. I think I'll donate this tape to my local library and declare it as a charitable donation on next year's taxes. |

| Although this film is too short, that does not deminish it's importance nor its brilliance. This film is clearly the forerunner to the succeeding film, 'THERE WAS ALWAYS SUN SHINNING SOMEPLACE.", because many of the same players were interviewed for both films. I would venture to guess that the budget was too small to allow a longer film to have been made. This film is truly a fine historical document.... |
