| On a rainy day, I love to watch Cooley High and listen to the music of my generation. Times were hard, but they were simple. I get excited while trying to remember, what was I doing when that song came was out. Now, I can share Cooley High with my grand children and next generations! This is one of my best purchases! |

| Here's a slice of '70s Blaxpoitation cheese that manages to pack a sizeable wallop for its miniscule budget. | I picked this up because I've always admired Pam Grier. For many years, even now one of the sexiest, most stunning women in films. This has always been my fav of her early films. Now that I own it I like it even better. The image and sound quality of the DVD are top-notch. Not blurred and scratchy like many films from the old American International library. | Ahhh who can forget the good Ol' days of Spike Lee films that had heart as well as insight? Who can forget this gem?
Crooklyn is loosely based on Spike Lee's life growing up. Its mostly a story that mostly details the struggles of a family growing up in Brooklyn as seen through the eyes of Troy(played by Zelda Harris). There are beautiful performances to be seen here. | This was a truly excellent movie, a gangster flick drawing heavily from the blaxploitation genre. Fred Williamson plays Tommy Gibbs, a young tough who works his way from shoeshine/mob messenger boy to crime boss. He uses the Italian mob and the corrupt cop who beat him severely as a teenager to gain a foothold and then turns the tables on all of them. None of it seems to matter, though, as he still can't satisfy the women in his life, no matter what he can give them. As his world begins to crumble around Tommy, the film builds to a stirring ... | I miss Ron O'Neil. He was Superfly. In this one we get Nathan Purdee who does extremely well with what he's given but it's just not the same as having Ron in the role. But Purdee is cool and does his best to make this a decent flick and I appreciate that.
The reviewer who said that in this one Priest "works with the cops" is incorrect. The cops try to force him to work for them and Priest REFUSES. He handles things HIS WAY. | This is great! You've seen those great Michael Jordan movies and know that he is the greatest ever, you need to see him in this video. On the Video, you can see what a great star is doing outside of basketball court and see how he lives. I liked the video because I always wondered how a big star like Michael Jordan lives, and does he do anything special to be that good. And the movie shows everything that Michael Jordan does other than playing his great basketball. I liked the movie and anyone that is a fan of Michael Jordan would like it. |
