| Well, I pretty much got this for the nude scenes of a lovely and voluptuous early 1970s Linda Carter, and she certainly is a wonder of a woman! As to the rest of it, a pretty standard movie with little else of consequence going on. |

| This movie is from 1943 Hollywood, which immediately tells you a few things about it:
1) It won't be politically or historically correct. Its portrayal of old Arabia will make historians yell at the TV. Nobody in it will be Arabian, except maybe the extras. All the lead characters will be white. Women will be treacherous, two-dimensional characters. | Some noncomplimentary reviews have been written here by people who, from what I conclude after reading their comments, did not actually serve in Vietnam. I did serve with the USMC around the DaNang area in 1969-70. After seeing most of the Vietnam war movies, I feel that this movie is the most realistic of how it really was over there. Why is there still no DVD of this movie? |

| I've always enjoyed this movie, except for one thing. The actor who plays Willie Keith- Robert Francis- is awful. I think a wooden indian could have delivered a better performance. One of the plot elements of the movie is that Ensign Keith is well connected, Francis must have been as well, because he never deserved being awarded this pivotal role.
Everyone else does a creditable job,and Jose Ferrer and Humphrey Bogart are outstanding. The movie ends just at the right point- not like Wouk's ... Read More: |

| Brosnan's third Bond movie, The world is Not Enough, is high on action but weak on plot. Robert Carlyle is a pretty good villain but his motivations seem a bit unclear. Sophie Marceu is also very good as the main Bond girl, while Denise Richards' performance is weak and she's completely miscast. Leonard Maltin wrote that the movie makes M (Judi Dench) seem foolish, and he's right. | I saw this movie many years ago when I was little and liked it right away. It's a classic and I've been searching for a good German and English DVD for years but I found out it's obviously not available on DVD yet which I personally do think is a pity. |

| This is an action-filled movie that gains momentum when the three brothers leave their family and join the French Foreign Legion together in a wave of disgust over their father's weaknesses. The brotherly affection and loyalty is the main theme of the story, and it is touching and heartrending without being overly sentimental. Cooper, Milland, Hayward and Donleavy are brilliant. It was, is, and always will be a great film about true nobility of the heart as opposed to nobility of the blood. |

| Being an avid reader of military history, and knowing someone with eyewitness knowledge of Audie Murphy's wartime exploits. I'd categorize the film as being fairly true to the autobiographical book, even if a bit "Hollywoodized" by a theme song written for especially the film, and by the sometimes hokey acting of Murphy's supporting characters. Murphy was, indeed, a hero. A hero who saw and experienced indescribable horror while still in his late teens. | Plot? Acting? Dialogue? Please. You're buying this movie for the same reason everyone else did... and for that alone, it gets 4 stars. The incredible Phoebe Cates is, indeed, both topless and fully nude several times, yet the nudity is actually done very tastefully. (And yes, not to be sexist, if you're a female fan of "Charles in Charge," you also get a glimpse of Willie's willie.) As for the alleged use of a body double, the shower and swimming scenes are 100% Phoebe (hi-def super slo-mo doesn't lie).
