Many think that Sean Connery was the first actor to impersonate the role of the sophisticated British agent; when in fact he wasn't. Sean was the first actor to play bond in a "theatrical" movie. But in 1954, 8 years before Dr. No hit the screens, 007 was introduced for the first time on Television broadcast.

The movie was called Casino Royale, based on the first novel by Ian Fleming. The movie was adapted from this novel for a CBS broadcast, with the hopes of adapting more of Ian Fleming's ... Read More:

VHS : I Love Lucy Christmas Special
"I Love Lucy" was such a wonderful series and a landmark in television history which has been in a constant state of rerun since it first premiered in the early 1950's. It was such a success because of the superb talents of the four main leads, brilliant writing, and a great care shown for how the stories of the trials and tribulations of the Ricardo's and the Mertz's were presented.

In this video we have a unique installment from the classic series in the one and only Christmas special produced ... Read More:

VHS : The Carol Burnett Show - A Reunion
I have had this video for a while, and love watching it again and again...I just wish that this particular Reunion was available on DVD. I have searched relentlessly, to no avail. Does anyone know who to contact? My home library is almost exclusively DVD, and now with the newer DVD technology, HD and the like, VHS is so dreary, such a retro format. I know it's just a minor gripe, but if anyone knows where to get this on DVD, please post here!!! An Absolutely Wonderful Show!!!

The third tape is Finding Lucy. This VHS talks about Lucille Ball and how she got started in show business and how she ended it. The Episodes in this Best of Collection are

VHS : I Love Lucy/Honeymooners TV Christmas Special
The Honeymooners Christmas Special is one of my favorites. After watching it on the Honeymooners Marathon I was glad to see it available. It had me laughing -- Ed Norton is too funny -- and it had me in tears. It's a classic to own. I never watched this I Love Lucy Christmas special. I was surprised to see flashbacks of a few other episodes -- especially the one when Ricky finds out Lucy is expecting. I liked the ending and was surprised to see where the thought came from -- an earlier episode made that was ... Read More:

VHS : Johnny Carson - His Favorite Moments from The Tonight Show - '70s & '80s, The Master of Laughs
I bought this tape (70s - 80s), and the 80s-90s tape when they first came out about 10 years ago. I did not buy the 60s tape at the time because I don't have any real memories of watching "The Johnny Carson show" until the early 70s. My parents never watched it, so I don't have any of the fond memories some of my contemporaries have of staying up with their parents to watch it. I started watching the Carson show in the early 70s on my own. I'm so glad I have these tapes, and I just bought a used copy of the 60s shows. ... Read More:

VHS : Star Trek - The Original Series: The Cage (Pilot)
It's not often you get to own television history of what was to become a Star Trek phenom. Reading the back of the box "Airdate:Never shown on TV!" in red ink is something! Many people make comparisons between Pike and Kirk. Everyone says it's the acting of William Shatner vs. Jeffrey Hunter with Hunter's Pike seeming to think too much vs. Shatner's Kirk being more energetic. Shatner replaced Hunter so Kirk was written to be more energetic, have more fight scenes, being the womanizing captain in nearly every episode. Personally ... Read More:

VHS : Star Trek - The Original Series, Episode 42: The Trouble With Tribbles
This is definitely one of the most humorous of all Star Trek episodes, although I rank it below the original series episode, "A Piece of the Action." It also contains two of the best lines that have ever been uttered in any Star Trek episode.
According to the terms of the Organian peace treaty between the Federation and the Klingon Empire, any uninhabited planet will belong to the side that can make the best case that it can develop it. Sherman's planet is the next planet to be controlled and the Federation is basing its' case on a new strain ... Read More:

"My name is Victoria Winters." With that introductory line, ABC launched its supernatural soap opera in 1966, and "Dark Shadows'" five-year run turned out to be a sleeper megahit that put the network's daytime schedule on the map. For those of us who sped home every day from junior high to catch the mid-afternoon show, this quirky series that never really left is a supernatural hoot of fun, its gothic backdrop and campiness notwithstanding. Who wouldn't be glad to welcome back the cast afer more than 30 years, like blood-sucking vampire but otherwise good guy Barnabas, ... Read More:
