| If ever a movie has made me feel as trapped as its protagonist does, Misery stands right up there. | I remember watching this movie on showtime or hbo back in the 80's and I know it was the movie that I still talk about that really made me jump in a projectile mode across the couch. I was hoping to get it in DVD so as to show it to a roommate of mine. Just can't find it except in VHS tape. That saddens me. |

| Re-reading the reviews here, I see they were pretty much all by kids who are talking about how much they like various actors and actresses. But the shocking thing is that this film got a FOUR STAR review (out of five) from Mick Martin and Marsha Porter, whom I usually can depend on to be reasonable. I have no problem with the premise, that the new woman marrying the boy's dad after the disappearance six months earlier of his true mother can metamorphose into a monster -- or "krepotkin". Because I saw the movie via DVD rental . From my local Blockbuster video rental store. The story I thought is very good. unlike most horror movie's /which I'm a big fan of the genra. This movie has a very good story to it. Eventhough the DVD rental was quite watchable I had a little troube with it skipping and freezing up/but it was still good enough fore me to descover a classic.
