I have waited years to see this movie again. Of course, it's not as creepy as I remembered it but I still enjoyed it. A must addition to my sci fi collection.

VHS : The Angry Red Planet
I enjoy this movie. A fun science fiction film - a low budget one that delivers some very unique monsters from Mars. This one is famous for the Rat Bat Spider , in fact there are toys and kits of this creature. There are other Mars wonders as well, like giant Amoebas, killer planets,etc.. I love how the movie goes all Red when the cast is on Mars. Acting is ok for this kind of movie. a B effort, but it is really a lot of fun. Check it out. And its cheap on DVD !

Terrific movie with another fine performance from Vincent Price. Also an early appearance of Charles Bronson is an added treat.

VHS : The Dunwich Horror
"The Dunwich Horror" is a movie that claims to be based on horror maestro H.P. Lovecraft's work of the same title, but one can at best describe this movie as a very liberal adaptation of Lovecraft's work. The movie itself stars Dean Stockwell as the sinister Wilbur Whatley who wishes to reclaim his family's dark heritage and standing by summoning the Old Ones through [a] using the Necronomicon, a dark book, and [b] offering up luscious co-ed Sandra Dee as the virginal sacrifice.

Luckily for Sandra ... Read More:

Christy, owner of a seedy nightclub, loves Natalie. But Natalie loves a clean-cut gambler, and Christy is going a bit mad because of it. Yawn. Well, this is a forgettable film. If you're going to see it at all, see the Exploitica version.

directed by: George McCowan

VHS : Frogs
This is NOT a great movie by any stretch of the imagination but it's a lot of fun to watch. I find myself doing my own MST3K type schtick during campy B films and Frogs provides perfect fodder. Go into it knowing what it is and you'll probably enjoy it. But if you're buying or renting a "horror" film called Frogs you probably have some idea what to expect.

An American couple travel abroad to haunted olde England to claim an inheritance, which is a strikingly beautiful castle high up on a hill overlooking a gloomy peasant village.

When entering the town pub for some directions, the resident drunken peasants are rude, fearful, & stuporstitious, when finally, a doctor explains the peasants' actions, & guides them to their inheritance.

The castle carries a nefarious connotation, a veritable "place that god forsook", where a Warlock bearing a frightening ... Read More:

Seriously, this movie is not worth the more than 3 stars many people give it. Yes, give credit to Price for playing a vile character sans the usual "camp" factor, but that praise on its own makes neither his acting nor the whole of this film great. I found myself fast forwarding through several sections that would have offered nothing more if I let them play at normal speed. This type of "self-editing" we do on occasion with movies at home just goes to show some professional editing should have been done in the first place. In fact, ... Read More:

VHS : Empire of the Ants
Joan Collins appeared bored through most of the film. The box cover is a sale ploy. You never see Miss Collins dressed that way in the movie.

Robert Lansing had some great moments as the fearless boat skipper. His performance was believable.

The special effects were bad. The music was not memorable.

Another thing: half way through the movie it goes from bad science fiction to twilight zone when the survivors reached the town. They may have escaped the radioactive ants, but escaping the zombie townspeople ... Read More:
