I bought this box set because I had seen these episodes when I was very young and really like them at the time. Turns out that they voice acting on these videos is absolutly terrible. The inflection and traslations are very juvenile, much more so than I remembered. But then again, I was quite young last time I watched it.

The biggest problem that I ran into was the tracking. I have two VCRs with auto tracking and tried them on both and at least twice per episode the tracking would get ... Read More:

I feel it is only fair to preface this by saying that I paid very little for this (less than shipping will cost you on amazon) and that probably shifted my expectations. This video set has four 30 minute episodes that tell a story set in the world of the nintendo game with the same name.

In many ways this was surprisingly good (remember I had low expectations). There was plenty of comic relief. The plotline is not so similar to that of the game. The setting is similar, so you see places from the ... Read More:

If you're into Anime, you'd be cheating yourself by not getting the collectors edition of this Anime classic. This is a groundbreaking Anime, that brings the Role Playing video game to life.

A situation occurs that forces Parn to test rather he is man enough to live the life of a warrior. I've only just finished completing my DBZ DVD collection (nearly 100 DVDs, whew!) and it took FOREVER to track some of them down, but thankfully the Saiyans saga was not so elusive. I've started rewatching them at the very beginning and they are just such classic entertainment. The Saiyan saga may be rudimentary compared to the later sagas, but the later sagas would not have been possible were it not for these earlier sagas where the writers were able to learn and grow so much.

I respect the people who prefer ... Read More:

"Are you okay?!"

This review is going to be a little biased because I first saw this movie during my junior high days in the mid 1990s. At the time, fighting games were the rage from Street Fighter to Mortal Kombat. Enter the world of Fatal Fury. Fatal Fury one was actually released before Street Fighter II, and often gets overshadowed by the Ken and Ryu franchise. In terms if animated movie production though; Terry and his crew of Andy, Mai, and Joe would defeat Street Fighter Incorporated in a KOF style match ... Read More:

I do not own this boxed set, but I have seen the entire series and I absolutely love it! This anime has something for everyone: charming characters, twisted humor, a bit of mecha, a battle, and a very devoted young man named Otaru. I won't give you another synopsis of this series because you can get that from other reviews. But I will tell you WHY this is a great anime that deserves more credit!

To be honest, I picked up SMJ because the art on the box was cute and because the whole marionette concept seemed pretty interesting. ... Read More:

VHS : Slayers 5-8
Slayers is about a 15 year old girl who travels around hunting thiefs and robbers. She uses her knowledge of black magic to help her do this.

This is the first season of the TV show from Japan, and it introduces some key players that will stick around for a long time. I recommend that you watch and/or buy Slayers Vol. 1-4 before buying this box set. It makes it a whole lot easier to understand the series and it should be considered essential if you're going to continue watching this series.

The TV show has had a large ... Read More:

Too bad there aren't negative star ratings. I had great hopes for this after watching Hogsfather... I was extremely disappointed! The voices were annoying (especially Magrats which was akin to a dentists drill and fingernails on the chalkboard... at the same time) and the animation childish at best. Coming from a genious like Pratchett I was expecting great entertainment geared towards adults, but this was so dumbed down for children that it was painful to watch at times. But I did watch it all, hoping against hope that it would improve. It didn't. ... Read More:
