| I love this musical, I saw it for the first time when I was 8, now I'm 18 and I still love to watch it! It is exactly how I remember, but much clearer, I would recommend it to previous viewers and to families with young children. |

| I've always wanted to see this musical live ever since I read the book, but this video was just as good and cheaper. The last portion when Valjean's character played by all the international cast sing together was absolutely breathtaking. |

| I saw the musical on Broadway several years ago, and I have to say that the film does an excellent job of capturing the engery of a live performance. The cast is superb, the music is still fresh, the jokes are still funny, and the layers of reality are done exttremely well. I recently viewed this and Joseph: King of Dreams back-to-back, and there is no doubt that this is the far better retelling of the story.

| I have always loved this play and had recently seen it done in a local theater. I took my sister and they did a great job. My mom wanted this for her birthday and when we watched it together I had forgotten just how amazing the actors are. Bernadette Peters is incredible! This is a fantastic play and I would recommend this cast to anyone!! |

| While the resolution on the video isn't the greatest quality, you WON'T CARE once you see it because, in any light, Audra is captivating. If you've heard her recordings you know that she is a talented and sensitive musician, but seeing those gifts combined with her ability to fully emulate the character of every song just about takes your breath away. | What a shame that this production didn't have a director who knew anything about style, because "A Touch of the Poet" is the only remaining complete play of his planned play cycle "A Tale of Possessors, Self-Dispossessed" which, if it had been completed, would have stood along side the great works of Shakespeare. To direct "A Touch of the Poet," a director has to know where it stands in the cycle. Then and only then can one begin to see the force of this play.
