| This was my intro to the band as a young teen in the 80's. It's a wonderful film and documentary, that really gives a full story of the band from beginning to end. Really get a glimpse into the personalities and the music's creative process. Good clips of interviews, and music performances/videos. Great choice of songs throughout, not just the hits (such as Tomorrow Never Knows, Why don't we do it in the road, Love you too, Day in the Life), even though they are usually shortened snippets. Yes, On the Turning Away done live on this album is without question the summit of great lead guitar work. Gilmour bleeds his Strat and blends it with power chords that weaken the knees. Best lead guitar song ever recorded. Stack it against any, and I mean any, guitar solo. There seems to be a "how fast can he play?" or "how complicated can he get?" mentality in music in the past decades. | This documentary shows Elvis as he starts to go down a destuctive path. You can sense in certain scenes that his heath is in decline. It gives a "behind the scenes" feel as to what life on tour with Elvis was like. He sings great and looks cool as only he can. |

| I don't know why it took me so long to watch/purchase this movie. I am a Beatles freak and own every album and had seen Hard Day's Night, but until this reissue of Help! I just hadn't taken the time to check it out. But I have to say that I liked this movie MORE than Hard Day's Night. The gorgeous color and fun storyline were highly entertaining! This is my kind of movie. Quick little one liners, and funny little bits that if you blink you might miss them. Which also makes this film ideal for repeat viewing.
