| To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar is a cute and funny film about three drag queens who want to be legends. Patrick Swayze is the prettiest man/woman ever! Wesley Snipes, well he isn't so graceful. This is a great buddy buddy flick, check it out sometime. |

| I own a copy of this film on VHS and really hope that someone will put this release on DVD with special features. I absolutely LOVE this film! I first saw this in a theater in 1997, at the start of my college years, and my first impression of it was: "not bad for a low budget Aussie film". A year or so later, after being in college, I wanted to see this film again but could never remember the title, as I looked every where for it. | what a disappointment. this film has a lot of potential - lesbian filmmakers, lesbian actors, good concept, passable script, artful black and white - but just can't deliver in the acting and editing departments. while it's wonderful to see women like us positively depicted onscreen - and there should be more of this - it would be great if they could act, too. the script's witty dialogue, while sometimes a little too preachy and unrealistic, is decimated by the actors' lack of skill. the actors' obvious awareness of the camera ... | It's clear that this film is a departure from so many foreign film with children. The film draws on the innocence of Ludovic, a 7-year old boy, living in France, who believes he was meant to be a girl. After confusion whether he is a boy or a girl, he learns that girls have XX chromosome; he fantasizes that God made a mistake sending chromosomes into the chimney at his birth. He believes one X chromosome landed into the trash.

| I'm old enough to have seen Norman... Is That You? in first release. When Norman announced that he was so depressed and confused that he joined the Navy, it hit home. You see, the first time I saw the film I was on the USS Oklahoma City, in the Navy and dealing with my own homosexuality. It helped me to accept myself. Later, when I finally worked up the nerve to start coming out, it helped again.

She's tall, & reasonably attractive, & sometimes blonde, but she was the poster-girl for the Uber-hip set in the late 80's/early 90's so for that set, she was a perfect choice as Sissy Hankshaw. Having read & loved this book, I knew she was not a good choice, and she was subsequently was named Worst Actress of 1993 for her terrible attempt to portray Cissy. | For anyone who thinks that Julie Andrews is nothing more than a mere song and dance routine, or the voice behind that infectiously annoying `hills are alive' song I have only one thing to say to you; watch `Victor/Victoria'.
