If you're looking for a Book turned into a movie--this is it but in a very obscure fashion. This movie takes the stereotypes that Long writes about in his short novel and basically flips them around here. Here you have the American man, but it is he that is hopelessly inlove with the Asian "woman" (using that term lightly). She is the one that is full of decite and ends up betraying him. At the end, he has to realize that he, not only was abdoned and betrayed, but it was by a man. This movie ... Read More:

This is, by far, one of the best movies. The story is moving, and will have you in tears multiple times. Tom truelly shines, and is one of the few actors that you no longer see as a person, but as their character. Very emersed. This will also question your thoughts and beliefs, and possibly make you reconsider the next time youre about to make a snap judgement.

I love this movie! I remember seeing it in the movie theaters when it came out. The cast is hilarious and so is the plot.

You get to see a butch run around in a bra the whole time. When you're in college and you get a coed to go down on you, you do get desensitized. As a horror film it fails, as an exercise in high camp it's not campy is it goes along, as a porn it works but as a musical it's a masterpiece. This blows away Cats, Wizard of Oz, Singing in the Rain, you name it. The best musical ever made, hands down no insurance needed. It's about 10 PM Central time at at college typing it and no one else in the building, so have times changed ... Read More:

The stories are timeless and still relevant, even though one takes place in 1954, one in 1974, and the last in 2000. It is a similar format to "If These Walls Could Talk 2" in which there are three stories from three different generations. The 1954 sequence hits home, in spite of a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy within the armed services, because even now, a military career can still be irreparably damaged if a soldier or officer is outed. Gay youths can relate to the 1974 story, seeing minimal progress from 1974 to the present ... Read More:

I did love la cage aux folles 1 & 2 and my only regret is that the nr3 is not available in dvd as I really like it since 1986... But I'm french and if you don't speak French, subtitles may not be as enjoyable as the words because this is really a very funny film!

We watched this movie when we vacationed in Pureto Vallarta where it was filmed. It was fun to find the statue in town of the director and travel to a more remote location where it was filmed. The Bonus sections added to the interest.

I have never seen a film which so well captures the terror that is in the heart of a child who lives in fear of an adult caretaker. The director has worked a miracle here. She has enabled us to see the world through the eyes of an abused child, and it is not easy to watch, but it is essential viewing for all who want to understand child abuse.

The scene in which Jason Flemyng's character convinces his girlfriend to let him back into the house, where he will continue to abuse her son, is one of the most devastating scenes I have ever seen. ... Read More:
