VHS : Creature From the Black Lagoon
The Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of those classic 50s drive in horror flicks that abounded during that time. It is still fun and I enjoy it. The picture and the black and white is wonderful. I only wish they had included the 3-D version too. I saw that at the movie theatre about 3 years ago and that was fun!

2.Dawn of the Dead starring: James A. Baffico, Fred Baker (II), Ted Bank, David Crawford, Jesse Del Gre

VHS : Dawn of the Dead
My favorite Zombie movie. The best way to see this is unrated and uncut. Not for the faint at heart or those easily grossed out. Lots of blood, and exposed intestines. Ken Foree was great in this. He is one of 4 survivors trapped in a mall with zombies. They fly to the mall after a drug bust in an apartment where zombies are on the loose. They escape via chopper to a mall. The mall is filled with zombies. Tom Savini leads a gang of bikers who want the mall for themselves and go after Ken & co. (all GREAT performances) ... Read More:

VHS : From Dusk Till Dawn
This movie contains a lot of violence and gore. However the acting and special effects are more like those of a comic book than a serious film. There is neither suspense nor horror in this movie.

4.Humanoids From Deep starring: Doug McClure, Ann Turkel, Vic Morrow, Cindy Weintraub, Anthony Pena
directed by: Barbara Peters, Jimmy T. Murakami

VHS : Humanoids From Deep
Noticeably taking several cues from big budget horror films, Humanoids from the Deep still manages to create an enjoyable atmosphere and a few unique thrills to retain an air of originality. Combining an infinitely absurd plot with serious actors, decent gore effects, gratuitous nudity, and a pervasive foreboding score from James Horner culminates in a low budget horror flick that nearly breaks free of such impediments to offer plenty of scares and laughs, mostly in that order.

In this Roger Corman produced ... Read More:

VHS : Tales From the Crypt: Bordello of Blood
Ignore the bad reviews and buy this movie!!
This was a thoroughly enjoyable flick! It's just like a "Tales From The Crypt" episode with that mix of horror and humour. Angie Everhart is one damn hot and sexy vampire and does a superb job as Lillith, the head vampire! Never really was a fan of Dennis Miller but he is great with the one-liners and I really enjoyed his presence in this!
A story about a bordello masquerading as a creepy funeral home, with Angie Everhart and a bunch of naked vampire hookers! What more can ... Read More:

6.Prophecy starring: Talia Shire, Robert Foxworth, Armand Assante, Richard Dysart, Victoria Racimo
directed by: John Frankenheimer

VHS : Prophecy
Critics weren't too crazy about Prophecy. I think part of this is because it was directed by John Frankenheimer, a fairly respected director. Hell, he's the guy who made The Manchurian Candidate! Odd choice for a "Nature Gone Amok" type deal, but what the hey. Frankenheimer used this movie to get a message across about the environment(most of these kinds of films do to some degree). If you ask me, a director trying to make a point about something shouldn't use the B monster movie format to do it. What ever the point is plays second fiddle ... Read More:

There's a reason this movie won the Turkey award more than once. It's so bad it's hysterical. It's definitely a must-see

8.Night of the Living Dead -- 30th Anniversary Edition starring: Bill 'Chilly Billy' Cardille, Charles Craig (II), Frank Doak, Marilyn Eastman, Jack Givens

VHS : Night of the Living Dead -- 30th Anniversary Edition
This review is for the Genius 40th edition. Cover, film quality, and extras all excellent. NOTLD is a 1 zombie film, and need to be treated with respect. I own this movie on vhs, and dvd. So far the Genius Extreme is the best. NO TRUE HORROR FAN SHOULD BE WITHOUT THIS MOVIE!

9.Zombie Island Massacre starring: David Broadnax, Rita Jenrette, Tom Cantrell, Diane Clayre Holub, George Peters

VHS : Zombie Island Massacre
This is not a zombie movie (warning: spoiler will follow). Even with its bad acting and horrible lighting (could be the tape) this is an at times enjoyable mystery which uses the zombie theme to throw the viewer off the track of what is really happening. A group of tourists take a visit to an island apparently in the Carribean (I know; not much more specific than saying an island surrounded by water) where they take a bus to an outdoor ritual apparently being performed to raise a zombie. A commotion occurs during the ritual sending the tourists hurrying back to the ... Read More:

VHS : Robot Monster
This movie's tag as one of the worst ever made is worth paying attention to, but it's a bit misleading, too. As with those other worst movies - most notably Ed Wood's "Plan Nine" - such a grandiose insult tells you there must be something going on to make the thing worth talking about at all.

Yes, its monster, the Ro-Man, is put together from a bad ape costume and a deep sea diving helmet. Yes, it looks like it was shot on some empty hillside in the San Fernando Valley, its only set being the partial concrete foundation left over from some building removed years ... Read More:
