VHS : Blue's Clues - Blue's Discoveries
I acknowledge the flaw pointed out by another reviewer that going around with a magnifying glass looking at things does not exactly constitute an experiment, but it's easy to forgive that since there are so many other good things in this video. This is my personal favorite, and my three and a half son loves it too. As a result, we've had to reenact the cyclone experiment and traipse around with a magnifying glass. The planets song is the highlight of the whole tape: a fun, catchy way to remember ... Read More:

VHS : Richard Simmons Dance Your Pants Off!
This is one of my favorite exercise videos. It has awesome songs, and it is so much fun. It doesn't even seem like a workout - just fun dancing.

VHS : Blue's Clues - Arts & Crafts
Kids can't seem to help but like Blue and all her friends. They are bright and colorful. The songs are interesting and repeated each episode to make it easy for the children to memorize. The arts and crafts on this tape can easily be replicated at home with your own children.

VHS : Dance Workout with Barbie
I thought this was going to be cheesy and stupid, since I am 26 years old. It was surprisingly entertaining and I had trouble keeping up with the moves. It was a very hard workout for me. I was entertained by the dance moves, and laughed at Barbie dancing, which kept me moving. My only complaint is that they don't break down some of the dance moves and I had trouble following some of it.

VHS : Talking Hands: A Sign Language Video For Children
I got this video a couple of years ago and my son with global developmental delay and major speech problems. He had complete access to it. He liked it and learned all the words. We misplaced it for awhile and now he has it out again and is in his room saying and practicing the words/signs by himself.

VHS : Sesame Street - Elmocize
I think part of the point of this was that exercise can be fun and doesn't have to be done exactly "right"--just get up and move! And in that sense, it works beautifully; my 2 1/2 year old is up and singing and dancing for the whole 30 minutes.

It's true that the moves are a little free form, but what do I expect for a toddler? (I don't WANT her to think that if she's not "perfect" it doesn't count! I want her to be happy to move her body to the music.) It's true that the workout in a chair woman probably doesn't ... Read More:

VHS : Espn Instructional: Let's Play Basketball with Mike Krzyzewski
Mike Krzyzewski's video is one of the best videos I have brought to date. He starts with some basic drills with kids and then with Tommy Amaker, his point guard from Duke during the 84-87 seasons. He moves to more advanced drills until he teaches a five on five drill. For coaches, the drills themselves are worth the money for this video. You have to watch this video over and over to understand some of his advanced points. Watching this video will give you some insight to how one of the best college coaches run their practice.
