| While many people may find this video "stupid" and a waste of money, a true fisherman (or woman) will appreciate the humor in this video. Tim Conway portrays the sport of fishing in a quirky and entertaining manner, that would put a smile on anyone's face. I enjoy it more and more every time I watch it, and I've watched it about a million times. IT'S HILLARIOUS! |

| This video is a good mix of atmosphere and music. Music is a blend of traditional pieces, with bits of fireplace crackling interspersed. The fireplace crackling fades to the background and does not interrupt the music. The fire is lively enough to keep you interested. It was perfect to bring the season to a condo in Florida. The video will play again next Christmas. Excellent choice. |

The fishermen get stuck in branches, get caught on their own hooks, catch a snake instead of a fish, see their cars roll away, get soaked several times, play practical jokes on each other (including a man disguised as a woman), etc. There are also some stars who do fishing, including Jerry Reed of SHE GOT THE GOLDMINE, I GOT THE SHAFT fame.

| Sorry for the lower rating, but I'm going to take a little different path from previous reviewers, who gave this video 5 Star ratings. I mostly didn't enjoy this video for the same reason I don't enjoy hunting (and there is nothing inherently wrong with hunting).
I did not enjoy watching large pedatory skewer birds snatch young gulls out of their cliffside nests and carry them off, still alive. I did not enjoy watching a killer whale stun a baby seal by throwing it in the air a few times ... Read More: |

| It is not only a fantastic surfing movie; it is a fantastic look at the world in 1968. They couldn't say what they say in this movie today. It would NOT be PC. There is nothing offensive about this movie socially, but the left wing PC'ers of the world would not let these guys describe the world so accurately.
As far as I am concerned, this is the all time best manly movie about surfing around the world. Makes me want to walk out on my job, grab my son and surfboard and travel the world surfing! ... Read More: |

| The Fatal Climb story was told in 1997 - The Fatal Game - [...] even the log line is the same - "One mans dream became another mans nightmare". How do I know? I produced The Fatal Game. It sold into every territory in the world and won 28 awards. Its a fantastic story and deserves to be told in as many iterations as possible. I guess plagery is the best kind of flattery. |

| Colgate seems to be conducting the video off the cuff. It appears to be a single camera shoot. Because of the lack of scripting the video wavers in content. Colgate is not a natural in front of the camera and appears to be a bit of a task master. For example when the 80's actors/stundents make up commands for tasks that need no command, Colgate fails to realize the fun in this and insists on eliminating the commands.
