Come on Universal Pictures, please release this on DVD in the U.S., it is long over due.

You have released far worse movies on DVD, why not this?

This movie is a 80's classic.

VHS : I Come in Peace
Essentially, "I Come In Peace" (aka "Dark Angel") is a great idea that was only moderately well exectued. With the exception of appearing in a religious drama, this is probably the strangest vehicle for action hero Dolph Lundgren to get himself over, and to some degree, the Swedish Superman makes it work, but even along with the passing performances of the rest of the cast and a pretty original bad guy, "Peace" ends up being forgettable due to its uninspired pacing and overall lack of action.

Voice over? VOICE OVER? Since when does a Star Wars movie start with a poorly read voice over? What happened to the opening scroll? That is just the begining of a movie riven with poor voice acting, poor dialogue, a shotgun pattern of plot holes and clunky animations. The lightsaber battles are underwhelming. The story overall does nothing to move the Clone Wars story forward. Terrible.

The DVD transfer is excellent as is the sound quality. Its a shame the movie is so bad.

VHS : Godzilla Vs Biollante
This movie was so great that it is almost impossible to tell ya. I will not give away the story. If you ever get the chance to buy this movie, do not waste it. You will be sorry if you do not get it. It is a rare Godzilla flick. The best Godzilla movie is right here.

6.Mothra (1961) starring: Frankie Sakai, Hiroshi Koizumi, Kyôko Kagawa, Ken Uehara, Emi Ito

VHS : Mothra (1961)
Pros of Mothra/Mosura:

*Different storyline from Rodan
*Same effects from TOHO
*A new monster

Cons:

*Geared for kids not adults
*Not as dark
*Mothra not as menacing as Godzilla

Another monster movie by Toho directed by Ishiro Honda. I've always found Mothra to be probably the weakest monster of the TOHO franchise. It's not menacing, it's powers are somewhat limited and it's slow.

Watching this I could tell it was geared more for a kids ... Read More:

VHS : War of the Worlds (1949)
Worth watching again and again, The War of the Worlds was a big budget SF thriller based on H.G Wells' work of the same name that had more than a few people fainting during its first run. The story though is pretty much linear and quite short (85 min). Comets hit earth, scientists examine them, aliens emerge and start attacking cities and people everywhere vaporizing them, scientist meets gal and they fall in love, they eventually see an alien in a house while the military is counting its losses against the invader before eventually ... VHS : Close Encounters of the Third Kind (The Collector's Edition)
One thing it might mean is that this is one of the most unique science fiction films ever made. I recently watched it with my wife (who very rarely enjoys any kind of sci-fi), a friend, and that friend's wife (who simply detests all sci-fi). Yet everyone enjoyed it. (My friend and I had already seen it.)

"This means something," is a recurring line throughout CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND, similar to "I've got a bad feeling about this," in the STAR WARS films. So, the dialogue is not the best ever written. But CE3K contains ... Read More:

VHS : Split Second
I own the VHS Copie of this Movie, and I must say it is a classic. I'm very disappointed to see that people are trying to sell this movie for as much as $158.00. I think that's a little outragious and no wonder why people go out and download these movies illegally. I'd probably do the same. Also when you want to put that $ sign down at a reasonable price, then you might get a sale. Untill then, I won't Pay that much for a dvd. Period!!
