| this is the best in the three part series. it follows the book almost to a "T" and the acting is splendid. if you have children who are yet too young to read, this is a great way to share the ANNE OF GREEN GABLES experience with them. |

| This is indeed the very best film version of Robert Louis Stevenson's definitive pirate adventure ever made. Christian Bale plays the young Jim Hawkins and Charlton Heston is Long John Silver, and both are excellent. Add Christopher Lee as Blind Pew and the rest of a terrific cast including Oliver Reed, Clive Wood, and Julian Glover among the many actors that bring the story to life. | This is always a good cartoon for Christmas time, and it's a hard-core classic. The Grinch dresses up as Santa Claus and steals all the presents from Who-Ville. Will he ever learn the true meaning of Christmas? I highly recommend HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS!!! |

| First off, let me clarify in my personal response that I've never been a fan of the historical fiction genre. Historical fiction books bore me, and they never seem to contain the excitement found in contemporary fiction. Sarah, Plain and Tall, while more character-centric than most historical fiction books, still just didn't catch my interest. | I've seen this movie at least a half dozen times and love it every time. I never read the book, so I can't make a comparison but in the movie, I love the evolvution of the character of Willie throughout the story.
Besides being a heartwarming animal flick, it is a wonderful story about community. |
