a tremendous entry in the delightful amicus multi-scary-story films of the 1960s and 70s . all are worth checking out (ownership of all titles is a great investment) . they just don't make them like this any more . and never will again .

The review of this movie by Lawrence Bernabo is incorrect and misleading. Bernabo states that this version is not the alternate version. In fact, it is. Please read the Amazon editorial review above and take note of the language and runtime in the description. Save both yourself and the seller the headache and lost money by NOT buying this movie thinking it is NOT the alternate version.

VHS : The Best of Dark Shadows [TV Series]
"My name is Victoria Winters." With that introductory line, ABC launched its supernatural soap opera in 1966, and "Dark Shadows'" five-year run turned out to be a sleeper megahit that put the network's daytime schedule on the map. For those of us who sped home every day from junior high to catch the mid-afternoon show, this quirky series that never really left is a supernatural hoot of fun, its gothic backdrop and campiness notwithstanding. Who wouldn't be glad to welcome back the cast afer more than 30 years, like blood ... Read More:

VHS : Twin Peaks: Episodes 1-29
David Lynch is a genius. A mini series is a very difficult genre because each episode is rather long and must end with some unsolved suspense. Moreover altogether it is many hours on one single essential piece of suspense and it runs the risk of getting boring, of slowing down and of losing interest for the audience. What's more that genre is used quite a lot on American television with the soap operas. That miniseries also runs the risk of being compared today with the film, and of course it is. The film is short, dynamic and ... Read More:

VHS : The Twilight Zone Christmas: Night of the Meek
Youtube is a really good thing. I was watching some old Honeymooners skits and remembered how powerful Art Carney's performance in this episode was. I watched it a couple of times today and it really touches me today as it did almost twenty years ago, simply wonderful. Christmas is really more than barging up and down dept store aisles. I wonder how many Christmas specials made today would include the dialogue "and we will thank God for miracles".

VHS : The X-Files: Pusher/Jose Chung's "From Outer Space"
First off, I'll mention the "other" episode on this tape, "Pusher", by saying that it's an above-average episode. It's the story of a man with a terminal brain tumor, and the tumor has given him the ability to force his will onto other people. He's using this power to get other people to injure or kill themselves, and Mulder and Scully are sent to stop him. The climax is a doozy, as the man forces Mulder to play a deadly game of Russian roullette. But the OTHER episode - "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" is my all-time favorite episode of the X ... VHS : Tales From Crypt: What's Cookin
This "Tales From The Crypt" video seemingly features great talent from great film stars past and present. From this video, I'll be reviewing "What's Cookin'?" , "Split Personality" and "As Ye Sow" . "What's Cookin'?", starring Christopher Reed (one of his best and most recent before his accident) , and Meatloaf (?!) , this is a houmerous tale of...well...kind of canibalisim, I guess. Let's just say some "special" meat is imported. Lot's of tounge-in-cheek material. The kind of 'Crypt you'd bring home to mom. "Split Personality" , featuring ... Read More:

VHS : Twilight Zone Collector's Edition (The Invaders, One for the Angels, Eye of the Beholder, and Lonely)
This collection of "`The Twilight Zone' Collector's Edition" presents an interesting mix of episodes from the classic television anthology series created by Rod Serling. There are two episodes from very early in the first season, which show the sort of scripts that Serling used to sell the series. Then there are two "Zone" episodes that would be in the running for any fan's Top 10 list:

Episode 51, "The Invaders" (Written by Richard Matheson, First aired January 27, 1961) provides one of the classic performances by an actress on the "Zone," ... Read More:

VHS : The X-Files - Small Potatoes/Gethsemane
Small potatoes is the funniest episode I've never seen in the X-Files. David plays two roles in this episode, one is Agent Mulder and the other is Eddie who can change his face to become other people. When Eddie becomes Agent Mulder (played by David), he tries to lure Agent Scully. When they are going to kiss, real Mulder breaks in and ..... You can see many cute fake-Mulder scenes played by David. Very cute. What a pity I cannot show you a picture here. Gethsemane is the last episode in Season Four which leaves a BIG shock to all fans. AGENT MULDER COMMITTED ... Read More:
